Go here. You’ll enjoy it. Grab a glass of wine.. and even if there’s a delay, the food is worth it. That’s how I feel about it.
On top of the wait, be aware that they now add an extra charge to your bill if you pay with a credit card. Until the service speed improves and they drop the unnecessary fees, I probably won’t be rushing back. I was not satisfied with my visit this time
Well, let me tell you…. it was a grand slam of the most delicious food I have ever tasted!!
We ordered the Mango Ceviche for an appetizer and my husband had the Mahi Mahi and I had the mixed chicken and filet mignon Skewer. Both dishes were served with jasmine rice, grilled veggies and a salad. It was soooo good and the service was top notch. I can’t wait to visit again!
Most of the food was average to pretty good, but far overpriced – probably a victim (or cynical profit scheme) of its Indialantic location. Of everything I tried, here’s how I’d break it down:
– Bland/Normal
– – Hummus & Pita
– – Chicken Skewer
– – Beef Skewer
– – Lamb Meatballs
– – Caprese
– Tasty/Delicious
– – Salads (both House and Signature punching above their weight class)
– – Pomegranate-glazed Shrimp
– – Banana Coconut Dream Cake
– – Melancholy Cure Cocktail
So it definitely is funny that the entrees are far too expensive for what’s plated, and the flavor profiles are not as dynamic and delicious as I’ve experienced, as compared to the side/smaller dishes. So, unfortunately, I cannot recommend based on food, even if there are some standouts.
Otherwise, the service was great! We were serviced by the incredible Blair – she and the rest of the staff definitely deserve a raise! I am glad there are outdoor and indoor dining options, because though it the car traffic did make outdoor dining an unpleasant kinda of noisy, it was more fun than sitting on the much quieter and colder inside seating!
All in all, if you go, I hope your food is tastier and less expensive than it was for us!
We made reservations and offered a seat outside at the back of the building by the car park, I asked the hostess if its possible to move to the front of the building and she was kind enough to move us (two thumbs up).
We had a drink and some appetizers which were really good. The Mediterranean samplers was a huge portion and it was delicious, the Ganouj was also very good. The bread(pita, roti, nan) was a bit hard, I did not believe it was made fresh at the location, it seemed like commercially bought.
House Salad was as fresh as it get, crispy clean and the correct amount of cheese, very good. Grilled vegetables that came with the meal was also good.
Main meals were different skewers and the Ahi Tuna. Shrimp skewer was on point, perfectly cooked and taste good, the Ahi melted in my mouth (there was only once that I had a better Ahi – Key West) delicious! Normally I don’t comment on rice, because most restaurant has a rice cooker – 20 minutes later your rice is done. Here is the kicker, the rice was so tasty that we all commented on it and I am rice cooking person, I have a Japanese rice cooker that makes perfect baby elephant (if you know what I am talking about).
Dessert these days has taken a back seat in my taste buds, therefore I may not be the best judge of sweet taste. I do like the Knafeh, it was not too sweet and it had a perfect amount of cheese so I had a few bites, all the other dessert are either chocolate, cheese cake or some other cake based sweet. Don’t get me wrong I will have one spoon full of the sweet but that’s it.
Overall I enjoyed the evening, the dancer, the patience of the servers and quality time with my family was all the sweetness that needed.
So fresh so flavorful so authentic. Neighborly. Knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive staff. The wines, the appetizers, the dishes, the desserts, and the coffee — all worth coming back for, individually or especially in its entirety.
Sophie was awesome. And she gave us a scratch-off to bring back in September for the Skewers Fortieth Anniversary.
