This by far the BEST breakfast, lunch and dinner place I’ve been to. Dale is the awesome. He goes and checks on all his patrons to make sure everything is good and makes you feel at home and welcome. What can I say about our server Elizabeth . She’s the best, the greatest. She makes you feel at home and has great patience and a smile that can melt the polar caps. Everyone that works there will ask and make sure all of your needs are met. The waffles are outstanding, the bacon, eggs, grits and corned beef hash are cooked to perfection. The coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice are excellence in a cup and large jar. If you are ever in Middleburg, Florida, treat yourself and don’t cheat yourself….head to Grumpy’s restaurant and ask for the 10 star waitress Elizabeth and be sure to talk to Dale and the rest of the amazing and very talented staff.

First time here: Great service, wonderful breakfast, generous portions, tourist prices (expected for good food), quirky atmosphere whch was fun, daily specials (we had the red velvet waffle- so good and artistic that I took pictures), everything delivered as ordered. Scrambled eggs with cheese just like my wife likes them. Biscuit & gravy was excellent. Special Christmas coffee had white chocolate flavor. Fun interacting with our waitperson who has only worked there 1 month and really likes the energy level. We left overly full but not guilty because the food was so good (“All goods worth price paid” as they say in Tennessee. Definitely will eat here every time we come through town on the way to visit our grandson. Overall 5 stars, no complaints & will return.

Delicious high quality food with generous portions. The bacon was perfectly crisp and flavorful. The fresh orange juice was top notch great staff and all around experience. Short wait Saturday am at 9 but they work fast to turn and the food was out in under 10 minutes. Will be back for sure.

What a great southern breakfast! They’re clearly a well oiled machine here. Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming, and the menu had so many great choices. All of the food was delicious! The restaurant was clean, and it was nice that they had water and games outside for those waiting for a seat. Would definitely come back when we’re in the area!

First time here. Everyone was friendly and the food was great. Our waitress was Elizabeth and she was super sweet. The manager spoke with us at length about our experience which was cool. We are in Middleburg for a soccer tournament and will definitely make this a great spot to stop. There is always a wait but the wait is worth the food and top notch service. Diverse staff was a plus for us.

Ate breakfast, arrived around 10:30 11/27/25, seated in about10 minutes ordered a western omelette with home fries. Western omelette had a little ham, only meat listed on the menu, and why I ordered it. Contained tons of really burnt, hard bacon. No mention of bacon, and would not have ordered if it read it had bacon in it. Home fries were so dark and saturated in old tasting oil. Biscuit was light and fluffy. Server was Brooke. She was great. I had just started going back to Grumpy’s after the dog sitting up to a table eating off a plate, used to serve people. Needless to say, I may never go again. Eaten several times at the one on Kingsley. Staff and food are always great on Kingsley.

Nice little spot to grab breakfast or lunch. All the food came out quick. The service was A1, excellent! My waitress Emily was attentive and friendly. I had a meat lovers omelette and it was good , besides the burned pieces of bacon. The pieces were so burnt they had a bitter taste. I picked all the pieces out and tried to enjoy. There’s no way a chef with eyes or any common sense should have used that bacon.

Exceptional customer service. Food is good. I had a seasonal dish, a carrot cake waffle. It was good , I just wish I knew it was carrot cake on top of the waffle not in the waffle. I would have got the surf and turf omelet instead.

My husband and I had breakfast at the Middleburg location of Grumpy’s. Brooke was a fantastic waitress and the food was absolutely amazing. I had a breakfast wrap with a side of hash browns and my husband had a Greek omelette with a side of hash browns and sourdough toast, there was so much food we took some home and had enough for breakfast the next day. Really got our moneys worth and enjoyed talking to our waitress even though she was busy she made time to chat with us. The manager recognized us from a previous visit and stopped by to say hello, really made us feel welcomed and they were glad we came back. Definitely my favorite Grumpy’s and will definitely be going back.

This was by far the best breakfast we had Since moving back to.Florids The food was fresh, served hot, and with no delays. Ayla was our server ..She was absolutely the best. Very Friendly, professional,and very kind. Not to mention as a Veteran all the servers and customers approached me and thanked me for my service. Please ensure Ayla and the others are highly commented, especially The Chef. We will definitely return again and I will pass on to my fellow Veteran Brothers and Sisters to dine here. Thank you.
