Booked the weekend evening menu for a special occasion in August. Service was impeccable from start to finish. Front of house explained how everything worked, seated us straight away, and drinks arrived quickly.

Ordering is done on a tablet, and food is brought to your table as soon as it’s cooked. Everything came out hot and fresh, not like it had been sitting around. The wonton soup was perfectly umami, sushi rice well seasoned, and the nigiri clearly hand-moulded. Beef tataki could have been a touch rarer, but still excellent. King prawn tempura was freshly battered and piping hot, while the sirloin steaks were melt-in-the-mouth. The scallops were a little wet, likely from being sauced before grilling, and the udon noodles were slightly wetter than I’d prefer, but both still full of flavour.

We were given a dining time limit. Although the evening slot is longer than lunch, we could have done with a bit more time to make the experience feel less rushed. Staff are very efficient, giving a polite reminder 10–15 minutes before your end time and bringing the bill a few minutes before, which keeps things moving smoothly and fairly for all guests.

Left extremely satisfied and pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service.

Extremely attentive and kind staff! Easy to to order and food comes out relatively quickly, in small cute plates perfect for a date night. Personally, I think it’s worth going paying the weekend evening prices as you have access to sashimis and grilled scallops (my favourite). I didn’t really like some of the seating areas, it’s a little uncomfortable and felt like a cafeteria but if you were lucky you would get a nice corner. Didn’t take too much away from the experience though!

First time here, heard some very good things. The sushi was very nice and fresh. Lot of variety to choose from. The noodles were tasty. The chicken dishes were at a variety too, also very tasty. There’s too many things to try lol can’t pick everything Only downside I’d say is that some of the fried food was too oily. Didn’t have a nice after taste and desserts were very limited. Not to say the place was bad. It was definitely great. The service was top, food arrival was quick. Will need to deffo come back.

Really nice food. Theres plenty of it. We sat for 1hr 30mins and were not left wanting. Service is great the staff were really polite and helpful. Love the idea of ordering on the touch screen. My only minor issue were foods that were advertised as spicy weren’t. But that could be a personal preference. Defo worth a visit.

Blue Sakura – unusual, modern hospitality, partly shaped by its location near the Arena.
You order via tablet and can keep adding to your order if you’re still hungry.
If you’re used to chatting with waiting staff and hearing personal explanations about each dish, this place feels different. Ideal for those who just want food without overbearing attention (which, I admit, I already miss, ha ha).
The food was good, though I found the selection of vegetable dishes and salads a bit limited – but that’s just me, not being much of a meat-eater.
Still, one of the nice spots to sit before the Arena comes alive and to enjoy a different approach to hospitality ✨

A great birthday celebration

Blue Sakura Leeds is a brilliant spot for sushi and Asian cuisine. The all-you-can-eat setup is smooth and efficient, with fresh, high-quality dishes delivered quickly.

The atmosphere is modern and lively, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The service…we couldn’t fault it at all!

The cocktails are unique and created to present the brand identity!

Love the concept and excuted really well.
Think it was time to leave a review after a 3rd visit, with many more to come I’m sure.

Food is excellent. Really like the ordering off the iPad. With the visits so far I can atest to have tried out pretty much everything on the menu. No complaints. Everything was fresh and well presented.

Service is top notch. Even in busy periods they seem to deal with this very well. Never feel like you’re waiting too long.
Staff are attentive and polite.

Drinks menu is really good as well. Plenty of choice. Cocktails are well done.

Price wise, I think it’s a tad expensive but it’s worth it and hasn’t disappointed yet.

This is an ALL YOU CAN EAT like you’ve never seen. Order small plates direct to your table via the digital tablet provided. From rice to noodles, chicken to beef, sushi to sashimi… Blue Sakura has it all. With a wide variety of options , there is something for everyone. As a frequent gym goer, this is a great place to come and get your protein fill. My favourites are: beef skewers, seafood rice, and the fried dough at the end. I couldn’t commend more! Also, with several cherry blossom trees in the restaurant, the ambiance is wonderful.

Would recommend to anyone who likes to try different food.
Even if you don’t like fish or rice there are so many different dishes to try. Including chicken, noodles, traditional dishes and so much more.
For those who like sushi and sashimi dishes this is the place to try
Small portions to try as much as you like or reorder as you go through the menu !
Everything is ordered through an interactive tablet and the cocktails are definitely worth a try !

We came for our son’s 21st birthday and had a great time! It was our first visit, but won’t be the last. We ordered drinks at the bar before being taken to our table. Then the waiting staff showed us a tablet to order our food/drinks from. There were so many items to choose from, but sashimi wasn’t available on the lunchtime menu.
We proceeded to choose our dishes and the food came pretty quickly! They were fresh and hot. The sushi dishes were nicely presented.
You get to choose a limited number of dishes, then wait for these to arrive. Then you can choose again. The ordering closes half an hour before your table is up. We had 1.5 hours of eating time.
The ambience was nice with good background music.
We would definitely return again!
