Food was bad and cold, they set everyone up I reccomend pay first before sitting down because they charge the percentage or whatever they want on the receipt at the end. Multiple people around me said” omg the bill” and they charge a little extra on tip and taxes without you knowing. Very expensive and not worth the price. Never coming back here again!
Absolutely horrible experience; from the moment I made the call to see if they were open due to poor weather it was nothing but disappointment. I called at 6:30pm and was told that we needed to hurry up because they close at 9:30… didn’t know it took 3 hours to eat but ok. Next, we walked in as a party of 3 adults and 2 kids under the age of 3. The person at the front asked if I wanted beverages for everyone and I said yes. Paid $100 and then beverages for the kids weren’t included in that. When we asked for beverages for the kids (just water) we were told that we needed to pay for them. Upon asking why when I told them at the front that we wanted beverages for everyone, at which point we were told that it didn’t include drinks for the kids. Why would I say I wanted drinks for everyone and not intend to include the kids? The staff was VERY rude, unprofessional, and blatantly lazy. Waited 20 minutes for a refill. Then they were talking about us in another language but made it blatantly obvious through pointing and giggling like little school girls. Not to mention the food is terrible. What exactly did I just spend $100 for?? To get sick? Every single person in my party has been throwing up since eating here. Absolutely the worst buffet I’ve ever been to. Extreme waste of my time and hard earned money. Wish I could get the money back as fast as that food came back up.
Referred to as the “Chinese smörgåsbord,” believe it or not, it first emerged in the 1950s before exploding in the late 1980s and early 1990s. This American tradition offers diners a variety of delicious dishes adapted to suit American tastes and may differ significantly from authentic Chinese cuisine in an all-you-can-eat setting.
Located on Market Street, Dynasty Buffet is the closest to our home, and my partner and I paid them a return visit after 3 years tonight.
Upon entering inside their high ceilings, with big windows and nice lighting, we were greeted by the host. The cost begins at $33.99 per person for a weekend dinner. We were led to a booth by the window.
The establishment continues to have a large selection of a mixed variety of Asian and other ethnic food, plus a salad, a carving station, and a dessert bar. The staff puts out smaller portions and refills frequently so everything tastes fresh.
Although American Chinese buffets offer a wide variety of dishes, many of the more authentic and region-specific dishes from China are not typically found on their menus. The food was tasty, the staff would check on us frequently, and the service was amicable.
Ultimately, the buffet serves as a delicious reminder of the ways in which cultures can blend and evolve over time while still preserving their unique flavors and techniques.
The server was nice enough, and they kept coming to take our used plates. Only things I didn’t like was that the clams and mussels, while tasty, weren’t cooked properly and I couldn’t chew through them and had to spit out a bunch. The sushi was really bad so I wouldn’t eat that there. Everything else was delicious. Oh and for some reason, they don’t give you wine glasses or any glasses for that matter, but bring you metal glasses instead for alcohol and with water. That was quite ridiculous and trashy of them to do. Other than that, definitely enjoyed everything and will be coming back.
*Update”
Went back a couple weeks later. This time we got normal glasses and they had wine glasses too. Wonder if it was my review that made the change happen lol but probably a coincidence. Also, they had more sushi choices and this time it was really good.
Nancy was friendly, kind, and has great service as always.
I don’t know why some people gave less than 5 to 4 stars to this place. Prices are fair, and many choices of dishes, taste wise, are not bad. What you expect, tho…people [don’t be too greedy and expect too much].
If you want a great buffet, then it is going to be expensive, and I bet you’ll still complain about it.
