But as long as you plan accordingly and don’t burden the staff with too many additional requests I think you’ll find the service is great!
I love the menu, especially since it has a savory sweet theme what with all of the chocolate!
The cheese moons were really unique and delicious! Here is the snippet from my cheese stick chart:
“ The Chocolatier at Hershey Park- 7.5/10 The cheese was really good and naturally I loved how ample it was although this did end up messing with the ratio a bit! I was really surprised with how much I liked the marinara sauce! Might skip on the ranch next time”
PS- I had made a reservation but found it wasn’t needed as we came at 4pm on a Wednesday. But if you’re visiting on a weekend or a day the amusement park is open, I highly suggest making a reservation.
We ordered Chocolatetown Burgers and the kids got chicken fingers and mac and cheese. The food was okay and you could tell the fries were made in batches because they were cold compared to our meals. The mac and cheese for our youngest was a perfect temperature though. I wish we had time to try some of the actual dinner meals because we saw them come out at other tables and they looked good. The kids portions are huge and feed our teens, with leftovers. Which I was thankful for since the prices were so high.
I recommend making reservations if this is where you plan to eat while you visit Chocolate World at Christmas time. I’m glad we did so WEEKS in advance because it was so busy they weren’t even able to accommodate walk ins.
Might try again for the burger menu.
Key Issues:
* Limited Availability: A large portion of the menu was unavailable, and we weren’t offered discounts when forced to replace premium sides with fries and no vegetable options.
* Service Lapses: Our appetizer never arrived, and the server offered no explanation or follow-up.
* Subpar Presentation: The “Martini Flight” was served in standard rocks glasses rather than the signature mini-martini glasses shown in advertisements and other reviews, which took away from the experience.
* Logistics: Better signage or instructions for parking are desperately needed for guests.
Overall, the experience didn’t match the price point, brand reputation, or even past experiences. We hope that this was an isolated negative experience and that some of these issues will be addressed the next time we visit.
