Beautiful place. Service was slow. Apparently, there was a new chef that night. It caused some delays. Overall, the food was good. We will try it again.
One recommendation: get a water filter because KC tap water does not taste good. no amount of lemon in the water would mask that taste.

This was my second time being at this restaurant with my boyfriend. We went on Valentine’s Day of this year. Granted we were prepared for a wait since we didn’t have a reservation, that wasn’t the problem. Once we got our table (if you can even call it that) I noticed immediately that the table we got and the table next to us were supposed to be together, but they wanted more people to be able to dine. There was barely enough room to fit the appetizer plates and silverware. I had to hold my purse in my lap because I couldn’t set it anywhere. The server was incredibly rude. I believe his name was Logan. Right off the bat, I was visibly upset and I was disappointed that the server was not accommodating despite there being multiple other empty tables. This was close to their closing time as well (maybe an hour and a half before they closed) so it wasn’t very busy, we definitely could’ve been moved. We were right next to a door that was labeled as not an exit despite the patrons exiting through the door blowing cold air directly at us. While looking over the menu Logan tried to ask if we had questions but wasn’t very nice about it. My boyfriend and I just ended up ordering drinks because we didn’t want burgers or sandwiches. When we asked for the check after getting our drinks the servers attitude changed immediately. He was incredibly rude. He made conversations short after that and my boyfriend and I didn’t even finish our drinks. Honestly I felt bad that my boyfriend tipped him, the service did not deserve a tip. The first time we went was a much better experience. I don’t think we’ll be returning though, you can get better food and better service elsewhere.

The first time I came to Kansas City August 2023 I stayed across the street and had the best meals here! Every trip I made to town I made sure to stop by. Great customer service they know you by name! Great prices, great selection of entrees and beverages! We even celebrated Mother’s Day here!

Ordered the Ribeye. It was fantastic. The Brussels sprouts were way over cooked. Got replacement sprouts and they were worse. Service was great. Got a free carrot cake which was exceptional.
Just don’t order the sprouts

Always enjoy the food and atmosphere at Summit Grill. The taco was pretty good and the chicken pasta was also really yummy. The butter cake with ice cream was delicious! That ended our dinner perfectly on Sunday. It’s strongly recommended if you are around the area.

Summit Grill was a great spot for a steak dinner. The filet was perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a good meal.
The apple dessert was a sweet, warm finish that hit the spot. Service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place worth going back to!

Great food, great location but our server on Saturday was a little slow in refilling our drinks. The restaurant wasn’t that busy so not sure what the problem was. Other then that, everything was great!

I’m a regular here and absolutely love this place. HOWEVER, this experience genuinely shocked me. I usually come during happy hour, but for the first time I stopped in around 3 PM. During this visit, a woman named Stacy was extremely disrespectful toward a bartender I know and am very comfortable with.
I come in about three times a week and often bring my dog, Chloe. I was chatting with a wonderful bartender when Stacy suddenly yelled across the bar and the restaurant, “What are you doing?” The bartender immediately looked nervous and confused, clearly trying to understand what she had done wrong.
Stacy then raised her voice again, saying that drinks needed to be made there, despite the restaurant being nearly empty and no guests appearing bothered in the slightest. The bartender began walking halfway across the bar, visibly uncomfortable, and I finally felt compelled to speak up and say, “Hey, it’s totally my fault—she was just keeping me company.”
I used to be a server myself, and this behavior is wrong in so many ways. Publicly reprimanding staff by yelling across a restaurant is completely unacceptable. It creates a hostile environment, embarrasses employees, and undermines morale—especially when the employee was doing nothing wrong and providing excellent service.
I’m now a real estate agent, and professionalism and respect matter deeply to me. How staff are treated says everything about leadership and culture. I was honestly disgusted by how this situation was handled, as it does not reflect the welcoming, positive experience I’ve consistently had here.
I truly hope management addresses this, because no employee deserves to be spoken to in that manner—ever.

The northland falls short when it comes to great local spots, but not when it comes to Summit Grill! I’ve loved this place for a while. Food never disappoints & they have great drinks, as well as, an awesome happy hour!
