Food came out relatively quickly, the guy serving was excellent… However, the steak was anything but Excell ent… I want to say the first three or four bites were just fat … Very odd for ribeye… Then when I cut into it center was cold… More like rare or medium rare… Has my server was excellent I showed it to him, he agreed that it was not the right temperature and he took it back…
Came back okay but most of the juices gone but ok enjoyable…. The reason for the two stars is if I have ordered anything else and they messed it up, possible overlooking but is this restaurant is advertised as a steakhouse they should at least know how to get steak up to temperature and check it… Just one more time to reiterate, the server was excellent and I left him a good tip…
We got goulash and onion soup and they brought salad for each steak we ordered, they were both tasty and we didn’t have to wait much for them.
The salad was fresh and they make it as you order.
After the starter, the food came not that late, it was nicely designed and it smelled good.
We had salmon, T-bone and a Ribeye, they all came together and we’re cooked the perfect amount. They all had an amazing taste and we couldn’t complain, specially the salmon that was cooked in a certain sauce that made it better.
Definitely recommend the place, it had a nice environment and nice staff.
Came here on a freezing November evening (-2°C outside) and it was literally colder inside than out. The heating was completely broken. No one warned us when we arrived, and we sat there shivering in our coats for over an hour. Food was ok, service was polite but useless when it came to fixing the situation.
When we were leaving, half-frozen, we politely said “A hot tea or a small shot of something warming would be a nice gesture after sitting in a fridge all evening.” The server just shrugged and said “I hear you, maybe ask the manager.” So we did. The manager’s answer? Classic German bureaucracy: “Not our fault, the heating malfunction is the building owner’s problem.” No apology, no small compensation, nothing. Just a shoulder shrug and “what do you expect me to do?”
Block House, you’re a chain restaurant, not a youth hostel with broken radiators. If your heating is kaputt in the middle of winter, either close the place or at least try to make it right for the guests who just paid full price to freeze. Extremely disappointing and honestly embarrassing. Won’t be back until you learn basic hospitality.

The steaks were amazing juicy perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Big shout out to the cook on the grill.
Definitely recommend the Rib Eye Master Cut. Worth it!
As dessert I had the lava cake with vanilla ice cream, which is always good.
What I didn’t like was the bruschetta, which could taste much better. And maybe it was my expectation, but I ordered a martini and was waiting for a cocktail kinda drink but it was a just two sips of pure martini.
