First time at this location and had a great experience.

The wait staff and manager were friendly and attentive.

Great decor creating an inviting environment to dine and have a cozy experience too. P.S. the ladies room is nice!

Tried a new dish, pork loin with Thai chili sauce. Some of the best mashed potatoes you’ll get. The bread was very fresh. The sweet tea (free refills) was solid; brewed well and not extremely sweet.

The pork loin was cooked medium to perfection. Seasoned well and tender enough to cut with a plastic spoon. I will definitely get this dish again and again!

The cheesesteak got good reviews too.

It was amazing it was the choice of my boss. 5 The company takes all employees out to eat during the holidays. The boss is the one that decides where to take us company pays, you say yes, with your + 1. Started with Spice Pineapple Margaritas the best thank god it had alcohol 5 to the bartender. Appetizer Sushi Rainbow Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll good. Entrée Barbecue Baby Back Ribs bake potatoes and coleslaw was delicious it fell from the bone with that amazing sauce. My daughter had the Nashville hot chicken sadwich with Mac and cheese spicy if you like the heat she loved it. For the best part dessert lemon key pie for me and my daughter picked pumpkin cheesecake . Staff nice, friendly, at first the group was divided but the waitress joined the table really fast since we had reservation. I will go back again definitely!!!

Great atmosphere for a dinner with the wife. Staff was great making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. Menu had a good selection and the daily specials won the night. The fried calamari was perfect, tender with a light breading. We then moved to our main course of steak and shrimp. Both were outstanding. Just wished we had room for dessert. It looked amazing.

Got a treat from a friend staying here. Very nice foods, yummy and great service. We had to wait for some 10-15 minutes during the lunch hour peak.

I am a regular at J. Alexander, but what I ordered is not my typical…the Chicago Steak (ribeye) medium cook and Emmanuel did his BIG one on it. Perfect temperature and the fat was rendered perfect.

And my service at the bar was AMAZING…Chris, Shaq, and Susan made my evening.

Thanks always and a special shout out to the Hostess stand for welcoming with open arms!!!

Never a disappointment when I come to J’s!!!

At first I was going to be harsh because of wait time and the menu prices but call I can say is wow it was worth it. Service was close to perfect as it can get despite it being very crowded. Parking was very rough but what else can you expect by Crabtree Valley on a Saturday. I had ordered the barbecue ribs with a loaded baked potato and macaroni and cheese. The cow or pig they killed the ribs for is in heaven smiling knowing the justice they did them. The sauce complimented the ribs well a nice subtle sweetness w a the perfect smokiness. The mac and cheese had a breadcrumb topping which im always skeptical about but the mac and cheese no exaggeration probably was a top 5 mac I ever had. The way the cheese sauce just hugged and caressed around the noodle was unlike any other. I dont know the exact cheese but it tasted like a gruyère and gouda blend maybe had some béchamel I do not know all I know was that the breadcrumbs, the cheese, and the sauce combined to make the perfect harmony. The loaded baked potato was just a loaded baked potato but on steroids. The loaded baked potato alone might make you full. The star of the show was the dessert… to anyone that’s reading this GET THE CARROT CAKE… I’m not giving a review on that just get it ASAP. Overall based on my experience I would say this restaurant is well worth the wait and you get your bang for your buck with top notch service. I would highly recommend. Also it comes with hot towels to clean your hands and the bathrooms are very clean.

I came here for lunch on a Friday and I love this place! They can literally take all my money! I don’t care about the price, everything I ate was spectacular. Easy parking, nice atmosphere, quick service. Now let’s talk about my waitress Shaquana, she is perfect. You better treat her very nicely and give her a raise! Two others ladies came and delivered food and they were also very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, great service, simple as that. Unfortunately for me, it’s not that close, but I’ll still be back!

I had an amazing lunch today at J Alexander’s in Raleigh, NC. It was a perfect example of five-star service and delicious food. From the warm greeting and smile from the hostess to my knowledgeable server, Anthony, and the flavorful fresh food from the chef’s kitchen, the entire dining experience truly exemplified a top-tier restaurant. It’s rare to find an overall experience where everything is firing on all cylinders.

The lunch menu offered so many mouth-watering choices that it was challenging to make a decision. I ultimately chose the fresh ground salmon burger, and Anthony also suggested a cucumber salad as an option. The presentation of my meal was so spectacular that a passing customer exclaimed, “I want what he’s having!”

I opted to hold off on the goat cheese to fully enjoy the sweet freshness of the marinated cucumbers, which perfectly complemented the delicious salmon burger. It was topped with beautiful arugula and accompanied by freshly made remoulade, all resting on a freshly baked bun. My only regret was not ordering a paired wine. I had no idea that the lunch menu would excite my taste buds to such a degree that only a good bottle of wine could satisfy.

Thank you, Anthony and the entire J Alexander’s team, for what must be the best Saturday lunch menu in North Carolina!

Had one of the specials for the day. The Cajun Trout over a bed of seasoned rice and broccoli. The Trout was seasoned and cooked to perfection. It just peeled right off the skin. The service and the drinks were amazing too

J Alexander’s was an amazing experience! My wife and I arrived about 15 minutes early for our party of four on a weeknight. They offered us a table or the bar while we waited for the rest of our group. We chose to sit down and were immediately introduced to our server, Tiffany. She was super friendly, attentive, and personable throughout the night, which made our experience even better. The dining area was spacious and comfortable, with a natural yet modern vibe. The menu had everything from sushi to steaks, seafood to burgers and chicken. We started with steak rolls appetizer with jalapeño ranch dressing (highly recommended!). For entrees, we had the Spicy Tuna Roll, Filet Mignon with Bearnise, Breaded Trout over Wild Rice, and Emerald Cost Shrimp. The cocktails were incredible, with the Pear Martini, Spicy Pineapple Margarita, and Kentucky Old Fashioned. Overall, it was a fun evening with delicious food and drinks in a classy setting with great service!
