Great little spot. Prices a little higher than I’m used to but definitely keeping within the average of what I’ve experienced during my short stay in Las Vegas. Tuna salad sandwich was generously portioned, which made the price more acceptable. Oh – and it was tasty. 🙂 Super courteous, helpful staff. Loved the ambiance of the place, too. A small section of original artwork, which I believe was for sale.

This cafe is wonderful!! First off, the staff was very welcoming off the bat. He offered us both food & drink menus & pointed us to the specials menu. I decided to get a Hometown sandwich paired with a pistachio Italian Soda. My sister ordered the Kickstart Sub with a toasted marshmallow Italian soda. Everything was beyond delicious! This cafe is beyond comfy & friendly not to mention, the service was fast. We will definitely be returning to try more items, especially the coffee! 10/10, 5 Stars!! Good job Kickstart Cafe!

Stopped in for a quick bite while road tripping up I-25. Well worth the detour. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good coffee, PHENOMENAL breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese on a flaky croissant). Will remember this one for next time!

I went in on a Sunday Evening, July 30, and a musical duo were singing and playing. Half the tables had customers, but it looked like mostly coffee and tea. A waiter finally told me to sit anywhere, so I sat at the bar. The musicians started a break before I could get a photo. The poor waiter seemed to be the only person working, cashiering, waiting tables, and serving. The menu looked very good, and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. I used to frequent the restaurant in the 1960’s and 1970’s. I really can’t judge the menu since I didn’t have enough time to wait for the order taker or cook. The coffee bar is usually labor intensive in preparation.

I’m obsessed with the coffee, specifically the oat milk latte. The best coffee ever, maybe? I just remembered to write this because it may have ruined me on coffee at other places, keep up the excellent work.

I was personally excited and open to trying a new place, and granted, maybe this was an off day. I ordered door dash from here and got a bagel with salmon, a grilled green chili, chicken, swiss cheese melt, and a green chile chicken soup bowl. Obviously I am disappointed with what I received, but I will gladly edit this later if I ever get food from here again.

First and foremost the soup is not only bland but seems to be scraps from maybe their southwest salad corn and chicken thrown into boiling water with some green chile and rice. It’s essentially a vegetable soup with tiny chunks of chicken inside. I couldn’t finish it so I moved onto the “chicken melt” and bagel. The chicken melt appeared with the texture of tuna. I took a bite and gave the rest to my dogs, so I didn’t even get a picture here. It was the consistency of tuna and the chicken didn’t have a taste. It was not the best, but the sauce that came on it was tasty. Last was the salmon bagel. It came in a closed off container that I had to flip over to get the bagel out, and then I opened it up. Firstly, the fat line on a cut of salmon isn’t attractive to look at, nor does it taste very good. It’s honestly unappetizing to me, personally as it tastes extremely fishy. Next was the fact that this sandwich was then squished together with half a block of cream cheese. It came with a small bag of chips that were the only reprieve to this entire meal.

Some suggestions: The soup already isn’t a vegan soup, so trying a cream base and maybe throwing some cheese in it would make it a bit richer. The chicken used on the melt was awful to look at and eat. Try slices maybe instead of cat food-esque pieces. Lastly, what makes a salmon bagel both delicious and pleasant is serving it open-faced so the person consuming it doesn’t get bogged down with a giant bagel and instead has evenly portioned, trimmed, salmon lox or smoked salmon with the onion and capers on either side. If it’s served as a closed sandwich to save on the cost of salmon, there was plenty of salmon used to have enough on either side. All I could taste was the fishiness of the fat line, the occasional caper, and cream cheese. The onion didn’t come through at all either, which is surprising because red onion is usually super punchy.

Again, maybe this was an off day but I definitely cannot recommend the food I tried to anyone.

Visited Stella’s for the first time since it opened–after major renovations (I missed the pressed tin ceiling)–in the space occupied for decades by Estella’s Cafe.

A small breakfast menu and a nice selection of sandwiches. Had the breakfast sandwich and house-made focaccia bread with jam. The breakfast sandwich was good (not great) if a bit small, but the focaccia was outstanding and I asked if next time I could get the breakfast sandwich on the focaccia bread (you can!). My companion had previously tried the Monte Cristo which she described as “very good”.
