We had an amazing experience at Serrano’s Cocina y Cantina. Our server, Graciela M, was absolutely awesome – attentive, friendly, and made the whole meal that much better.
We ordered a Diet Coke ($3.75), Mr. Pibb ($3.75), Emcie’s Dinner ($15.00), and the Burrito Con Queso ($14.50). Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions were generous and definitely worth the price.
One tip though – I tried the Serrano pepper and wow, that thing is HOT! I ended up downing three cups of soda just to cool it off, but honestly, it added to the fun of the meal.
Great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area!
Rice and beans felt amd tasted authentic.
Great bar, great for dates.
Smoking on the patio is nice if you want to enjoy a cigar after a meal or with your drink.
I went for the juevos rancheros with fajita. Their fajitas are some of the best in Austin! Perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy! It is worth the +$3. The flour tortillas are homemade and fluffy. Their breakfast potatoes are crispy and so good! Their beans are flavorful and perfect texture! I always order their creamy green picante salsa which is bomb. It is an up charge but well worth it.
I really like their new look. Very modern, chic and still colorful for that Mexican look. Overall, I highly recommend Serranos for breakfast, lunch and dinner! You will not be disappointed!
FIRST I got the Avocado Margarita and it’s fire! Empanadas for my appetizer and I wanted to try molé for the first time I just never got around to it even when I travel to Mexico.
The Pollos y Molé was excellent from why people tell me they don’t like molé, this is not too sweet and very spicy I enjoyed it. Next time I go to Mexico I will have to try it and compare. Great food and service at this location! Check my photos for the menu and drink selections to see what Serrano’s have to offer!
