Save your money, go ANYWHERE else. Update! Do these jokers even know what salsa is? Green onions and the top stems of pepper scream quality…Ordered for delivery. Missing an entire 1lb of Chips! Food taste was okay, but now I have all this salsa and nothing to eat it with… Thanks a ton. Not trusting their idea of Mexican food.

The food was cold when they bring it it looks good but by the time it hits the table it was cold . The green chilie burrito was gross in my opinion. It was cold not spicy at all it tasted like it came out of a can . The sauce was tasteless like water coming out the burrito. We had cheese crisp with carne asada meet and it tasted like chorizo meat mind you im mexcian . Then the tortilla was falling apart like it was sitting there for a while or somthing. The soup was water just a little flavor. It was weird that was floating avocado I never seen that . But the soap was a no. The chicken tacos were cold burly any chicken we took everything home couldn’t really eat anying besides the beans and rice. That was dry like its been sitting . The drink were flat . It was just a no for me .

Wow, what a disappointment. I haven’t eaten at Macayo’s in years so while in Tukee we decided to give it a try. We waited 5 minutes to be seated and then another 5 minutes sitting at the table before anyone came by to offer us chips or drinks. It was NOT busy either with maybe 25% of the tables taken up but the wait staff seemed to be running around like it was the end of the world.
Finally got to order our food because I wasn’t going to let the waitress leave again and have to wait again. Food wait was not too long but it just looked like it was slopped in the plate. This is the one time I didn’t take a pic so you can take my word or not, but the rice was dry, the red sauce was pink it was almost clear and the chimichanga was doughy, not even a little crisp.
We also ordered shrimp tacos which were actually pretty tasty. The chips were hot and fresh but we ran out salsa pretty quick since it was served half full. Finally, I never got a water refill until the end of my meal and I was definitely needing a drink.
I still left a 20% tip for her since she tried. Sorry, likely last time here for me. Again, very sorry to see it’s gone so far down hill.

This place has the best chimichangas-flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. You won’t be disappointed! The fresh tortilla chips and spicy salsa are the perfect start to the meal. The Enchiladas Trio is also a great choice if you want to sample different flavors. We love coming here—consistently delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere.

We visited on a Monday evening, and the atmosphere was pleasantly calm—not too busy at all. We were seated immediately, and our food arrived in a timely manner. Daniel, our server, was attentive and checked in often to make sure everything was perfect. I ordered the green chili stew, which was flavorful and satisfying, though milder than I expected, but still enjoyable!

Well, this may do it for me at eating at Macayo’s (59th & Bell). I went with a friend yesterday because it was taco Tuesday and everything started off good. Our food was brought out quickly and I had finished 1st taco, grabbing 2nd taco and I see something that looks like an olive in the lettuce, pull it out and it was a ROACH.
There goes my appetite.
Told waiter who told Manager and she came out embarrassed, I’m sure, but probably not the first time and apologized and tried to smooth things over with more free food (sorry I just don’t trust it anymore) Mentioned that had been having a little problem with them and had exterminator out that morning before opening. That made me wonder how many exactly they had in the kitchen and how did it make it into my taco.
Of course didn’t charge me or friend for lunch and we left.
I realize that probably ALL restaurants have at one time or other had roaches or bugs in the kitchen, but I was hoping they find them before they make it into my food.
Probably will not go out to eat for awhile, because I will be taking apart every piece of food given to me and even then wonder if they removed the bugs before giving to me.
If I go out again to get tacos, I will order ‘I will take 2 shredded beef tacos, hold the roaches”.

I used to go here all the time with my mom. It used to be great drinks and great, classic Mexican food. We came back (tis the holidays visiting parents) and it has changed for the worse. Drinks were pre-made. Food had no ingredient list available. Anyone who has food allergies, don’t come here. They don’t have a way to check what ingredients are used in the foods. The server I have nothing bad to say. He was busy, checked in regularly, and noted there’s been a change in how the restaurant is run.

I went for dinner with my dad. This had been our go to place since it opened many years ago. I ordered the Baja shrimp enchiladas and they were pretty good the rice though was not edible hard and dry. Our waiter was excellent and attentive. We were their around 4pm and in the bar area. Other then that it was very nice atmosphere was good. Miss the Mexican music they use to have is there anyway to bring that back ? Other then that everything was good

I ordered a shredded beef burrito. My wife ordered a Mexican pizza. OMG! The shredded beef burrito was so watery and my wife said the Mexican pizza absolutely had no flavor. The best part of it was the tortilla. I don’t even want to start talking about the salsa. Ketchup has more flavor. And again, very very watery. I’m guessing that these things are frozen or something and they’re heating them up in the microwave. We won’t be back.
