Best tacos and nachos! Best local taco bar in Portland. Food is delicious and the margaritas are homemade. They have tequila infused flavors. If you are really hungry order the chicken el jefe grande nachos with guacamole. So good! Thanks Lewi for the great customer service! We’ll be back.

Great flavors. The avocado fries are to die for. If you’re even a partial fan of avocado, this is a must order! The Mexican corn is another must order. Got the tongue tacos and al Pastor tacos. Both were very good. The place was clean for a bar type establishment. This is definitely a bar type of place. It’s pretty loud and hard to hold a regular conversation. Service was ok. Our server concentrated on the folks at the bar mostly and never checked on us until the end. But not a deal breaker because the food was so good.

Had the munchies one night and OMG. The churros were basically spanish fried dough. Gooey and sweet! We bought some to go and they were gone before we made it back to the car. The eat in was fantastic! Tried Pozole for the first time. It was filling and yummy! Located in a chill neighborhood. It was a bit noisy, jam packed late at night, bar vibe.

Taco Escobarr is a vibrant gem that effortlessly blends a lively atmosphere with a super trendy, Instagram-worthy aesthetic. The food is nothing short of spectacular—delicious and served promptly, making it perfect for a quick bite. We were lucky enough to snag a table right away, and the friendly, attentive staff made our experience even better. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy fantastic tacos in a lively setting!

Stopped in and found easy street parking. Ordered the carne asada crispy taco, shrimp crispy taco, and a soft avocado taco—all were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is great, the service is quick, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely a spot we’ll return to whenever we’re in the area.

Great spot, delicious tacos! Extra points for being open late on Sunday night. Life saver walking off a plane and looking for a solid dinner. Staff was awesome and friendly even near the end of the night.

Had a pleasant lunch on a stormy, winter afternoon. The food was tasty and well presented. Because the storm was keeping customers away, we were given more attention than most diners will get in this usually busy restaurant.
I enjoyed a chipotle soft taco, while my grandson ordered one of their burrito specials. In addition, the background music was a blend of covers by some not so pop artists. Our waiter was friendly and conversant without ignoring our fellow diners who had also braved the weather.
For fans of Mexican-American cuisine, I recommend Taco Escobar. You probably should call ahead when the weather clears up.

This is easily one of our top two Mexican-style restaurants in Portland and our go-to spot for burritos (sorry, they never photograph well!) and enchiladas.

Chips and salsa or queso are the perfect way to start any meal here. And don’t skip the margaritas. They’re so fresh and flavorful. Today’s pick was orange mango, and it was incredible!

You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in the burritos. They’re bursting with flavor. My go-to is the carne asada, while my partner opted for fish with guacamole this time. With so many filling options, it’s easy to mix it up. Just note that there are upcharges for some proteins; we’ve included a receipt as a reference. That said, it’s absolutely worth it.

The enchiladas are also fantastic. Can’t decide on a sauce? Ask for the “Mexican flag” and you’ll get one of each. Pro tip: this place gets busy. If you want to skip the wait, call ahead and order takeout, it’s a breeze to pick up from the end of the bar.

Trust us, this is a true local favorite!

The petite restaurant sits right on Congress St in Portland near the Art College. The food was amazing. Hot and tasty and came quickly. Enclosed are the photos of the fish tacos and street corn. The server was very helpful and with pleasant
demeanor. There are bench and table top seating. A nice little bar with a couple of TVs. Great selection of margaritas. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the music was a tad metallic.
There is on street parking and some lot parking all which are pay by plate on many of the side streets.

The food is always so yummy! The price, on the other hand, is pricy! Check your receipts for added prices. They also tip the kitchen! A nice gesture, but?! Atmosphere is a bar like, fun place, but the seats are very uncomfortable! I think that should be improved. The place is extremely small, so you may have a wait, but again, the food is worth the wait! The parking is a bit of a challenge due to being right on Congress St but somehow, I always find a spot but unless your in a parking lot or garage, you will be looking at your time for the meters are running! Otherwise, very good food!
