Introducing campo – Los Poblanos
Reviews
From the moment you arrive, the property itself sets the tone—serene, refined, and uniquely New Mexican, with a natural beauty that feels both grounding and special. Our first dinner at Campo was absolutely amazing, a thoughtful and inspired experience that stayed with us long after the meal ended. So when we began searching for another place in town to celebrate one another again, all roads naturally led back to Los Poblanos.
Our second visit was no different and did not disappoint. The menu showcased complex, carefully built flavors that highlighted the balance and intention of a seasonal approach. Each dish felt purposeful, elegant, and deeply connected to the ingredients and time of year.
We highly recommend Campo to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Albuquerque. It’s a place that celebrates food, setting, and moments shared—and we will most definitely be back.
Don was an incredible waiter! Kept the night fun and was great at making recommendations!
Really appreciate the manager and staff for making an adjustment to my reservation fairly last minute and making it possible for us to come.
I wish I had taken more pictures of every dish but in the end it all looked too good to wait. I have more photos of how clean we cleared ALL our plates.
Could not recommend more.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Campos at Los Poblanos with colleagues, friends and family! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and welcoming Deanna, who shared the fascinating history of the farm, dating back to 1934. She told us about the lavender farm, the animals, and the farm to table concept that made the experience feel even more special.
Our waiter, Jayden, was incredible, attentive, friendly, and truly passionate about the food. He checked in multiple times throughout our meal, making sure everything was to our liking and offering suggestions with genuine enthusiasm. His recommendations were spot on!
The Lamb Pasta was a standout dish, perfectly al dente with small, tender bites of lamb. It was simply delicious! The Halibut Fish Mole was cooked to perfection, the fish tender and juicy, with just the right amount of crunch, all smothered in a tantalizing mole sauce. It paired beautifully with a crisp, slightly fruity Sauvignon Blanc that was refreshing and full bodied.
The Pork, potatoes, red onions, and a bounty of fresh veggies were an absolute symphony of flavors. The three beautifully hand made warm corn tortillas are perfect, delicious and loved on the pork. It paired perfectly with an Oregon Pinot Noir, light, with a bouquet of red fruits and a hint of mocha. Every bite was a joy, and the entire meal was a celebration for the senses.
For a slight vaction, my tongue relaxes on a dessert that screamed love poems – the cheesecake was a dream, fluffy, moist, with a hint of sweetness and just the right amount of crunch. Each bite was pure indulgence, leaving me with a lasting memory of that beautiful meal.
This experience at Campos etched a lasting memory in my heart, and I can’t wait to come back! Wow!
Now: the food and beverage. I had the Simm’s Cup. It was a full-bodied kombucha mocktail, not just expensive juice. We received a chef’s special of braised greens that took me back to South Carolina. I would’ve loved a bowl of it! We shared the sweet potato pierogi, crispy pork memela, and the carrot cavatelli. They were all tasty and would get them again. I loved the cream, onions, and kimchi with the pierogi. The pork memela really hit when you’d get a balanced bite of pork, beans, and cabbage. The green chile cream and lemon flavors in the cavatelli was delicious. Extra points because they split it in two bowls for us.
The portions were more generous than I expected, and unfortunately we were way too full for dessert. Our server was very kind and gave us two chocolate truffles for our anniversary.
Forgot to take photos, except for the cavatelli.
I’m looking forward to dining at Campo again. I’m going to be on the lookout for when ceviche is on the menu again that I’ve seen from other reviews.
Thank you, Campo!
Our waiter, DON, made our evening even more enjoyable with his friendly demeanor, helpful recommendations, and bright smile.
If you’re in Albuquerque, I highly recommend dining here. They have an excellent selection of wines, great food, and delicious desserts!
