While you’re watching the boats and the mountains from our over-the-water views, be sure to see how we celebrate our local partners with our selections of wine, beer, spirits, and craft soft drinks from our ‘down-the-street neighbor’ Port Angeles’ own; Bedford’s Craft Sodas.

Ordered – Calamari, fish & chips and Chicken strips & fries.

I ordered chicken strips because for a children’s meal it was $16 so my son and I split it. I would have loved to order something else, but wanted him to eat… and if you have a picky toddler… you know the struggle

My husband got the 4 piece fish & chips and it each piece were HUGE. He wishes he would have ordered the 2 piece.

Only give 4/5 because I couldn’t believe the price for the kids meal. Otherwise service was great, food was great, we were in and out within an hour.

My partner and I chose Downriggers and it did not disappoint us. My partner got the Downrigger dip while I had the 8oz steak with baked potato. My steak was cooked just right. I also had lavender lemonade.

Food was ok but nothing special. Lavender lemondrop was good with nice presentation but pretty spendy. Crab melt and shrimp were ok and the rice was good but asparagus was very tough and not too edible. We just expected more for being on the ocean and paying that much for what seemed like a nice place.

Typical sit-down restaurant at a tourist trap – if you can call the wharf that. Seafood – crab cakes and clam chowder – was decent but a bit light on flavor and seasoning. Given the location and price, I expected more. Great service, relaxing atmosphere, and the ocean views added to the dining experience. Probably won’t be back for the food but maybe for drinks and the view.

Solid Happy Hour with Friendly Service

We stopped by Downriggers on the Water for happy hour and were pleased with the selection. The tempura asparagus and French dip sliders were definite highlights, fresh, flavorful, and nicely portioned for the price. Don’t order the onion rings.

The staff was friendly and service was prompt, which made for a relaxed experience. While the restaurant does offer water views, they weren’t especially memorable, and nothing to write home about.

Overall, a good place to grab happy hour bites with attentive service and a casual atmosphere.

The food was mediocre. Oysters weren’t bad but chowder was meh. However we’ll be back due to the service. Amber was wonderful and made our visit memorable.

Went here for our anniversary dinner it was so nice! There was a little wait but that was expected at dinner time on a 3 day weekend. Everyone was super nice and Amber was so helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable on the gluten-free options it really made our night

Had a quick lunch here and liked it. Had a chowder bread bowl and fries. Just a little shy of 5 star for me but enjoyed it.

I enjoyed dinner overlooking the water. The fish and chips were tasty complemented by a Washington pinot grigio. The blackberry cobbler was warm out of the oven and topped with vanilla ice cream. My waiter was attentive and friendly.

Food price / quality (value) rating 8. The atmosphere is seaside tourist restaurant. Next to the ferry wharf in a multi-use building that includes an ice cream shop, low end art gallery, and game arcade, this restaurant also has mediocre ocean views. The restaurant itself is sparsely decorated, with a four seat bar, a bar dining room, and a larger dining room. The menu is pretty middle of the road. I had the Chicken Oscar which included a very small chicken breast filet, four nice, thin asparagus spears, and about three tablespoons of lobster meat and a nice Bernaise sauce. They allowed me to substitute a baked potato for rice. The entree was well made and tasty. The wife had the Cashew Vegetable Stir Fry, and it was quite large with a tangy teriyaki sauce. The vegetables weren’t crispy, and it had a little too much teriyaki sauce. The service was very good.
