When we first walked in, we weren’t sure if this was going to be a good place — the atmosphere felt a bit off, and it didn’t look super clean.
However, we were seated quickly and placed our order without any issues.
We got sushi and a rice dish with vegetables and meat, and honestly, the food was delicious. The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, and surprisingly good for a place we almost walked past.
The only downside is the cleanliness. There were some strange smells inside, and the restroom definitely needs more attention — it was not clean and gave a poor impression.
Still, the food was amazing, and that saved the experience.

We dined in the enclosed florida room area. Even in january, it was so cozy. Tall solid wood ceilings and walls, fun ambiance.

Our waitress was great! Really made us feel at home as travelers.

The menu is huge, so you will have plenty of options. We got the salmon udon, and the general tsos chicken. Both were large size portions for good prices. They were a little lacking in flavors, but overall good comfort food.

I ordered food to go. I didn’t have to wait, just walked in, my order was ready ahead of time, even though they were packed. Great portions and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend.

I had the caterpillar roll and sweetheart roll. The sweetheart was so good, tuna was soft and juicy! All of the sushi had great fish portions and tasted so fresh. I think this spot has become the best sushi spot in Asheville. Caroline was our waitress and she was so friendly, patient, conversational, and kind. We got 2 rolls to take out and received an adorable re-usable take out bag.

When it opens at 430 and by 5 all the table are full you know it’s a good spot. I was by myself so I sat at the bar. It’s kinda cool to watch them make the sushi and since I knew what was in mine it was even cooler to see mine being made. The taste was even better than watching it being made. Definitely need to come back here when I’m back in town. Sucks I’m leaving tomorrow morning or I would be back for dinner tomorrow also.

I absolutely love the decor and vibe at this restaurant. It’s so attractive and pleasant. My husband and I went on a Friday evening and had a great meal.
We ordered coconut shrimp and several rolls. Everything was wonderfully prepared.

I’ve gone multiple times, most recently this past weekend for my birthday, and have always been very pleased with my experience. The service is lovely, timing is fast, prices are reasonable, and food is delicious! Bonus to the atmosphere if you get a table in the lightroom space, but the main area is very nice as well. I’ve also gotten takeout, and it does not dissapoint(photos attached). I recommend the Green River Roll if you’re looking for amazing sushi 🙂

My mom came into town and we were craving sushi, it was so good we decided to come two nights in a row. Get the double dragon roll if it’s offered as a special it was very good. Honestly every roll I’ve ever tried there I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and I’ve been eating sushi for the past 20 years and tried it many different places. Their hibachi is amazing also if that’s more your speed, the staff is very kind and service is top notch. Don’t believe the bad reviews, I’m from Asheville and this place is amazing!!
