Today after Mass, around 12:15 p.m., we walked in excited to eat here. We were greeted kindly and seated at a small table. We ordered the Menudo Especial with two mini barbacoa tacos, one taco pirata, and a parrillada for two.
Our server was friendly but clearly busy attending several tables, which we understand. However, what we expected to be a normal wait turned into a very long one. We didn’t receive our food until 1:38 p.m., which was over an hour later. That was honestly frustrating.
The menudo and tacos came out first, and we continued waiting on the parrillada. Unfortunately, the food itself was also disappointing. The meat was dry, and the tortillas were somehow warm and cold at the same time, which made it seem like everything had been sitting out for a while.
We understand that Sundays after church can get busy, but the long wait combined with the quality of the food made the experience upsetting. I will probably give this place another try when there are more cooks in the kitchen, napkins already set at the table, and enough waitstaff to properly attend to customers.
