We ordered the Peking duck dinner for two. This meal included wonton noodle soup (six shrimp dumplings, noodles, and broccoli rabes), half a Peking duck (four buns, scallions, crispy duck, and sauce), string beans, and pineapple spicy stir-fried rice. The dishes were served one at a time in that order.
The wonton soup was delicious, with properly cooked dumplings, noodles, and vegetables. I just wished the broth had been hotter.
The half Peking duck was well cooked and crispy, which paired nicely with the buns and sauce. However, I wished the duck had more meat—I had to look for it under the skin, and there wasn’t much there.
The string beans were well seasoned and tasty. My favorite dish was the pineapple stir-fried rice. It wasn’t too oily, was flavorful, and was served hot.
Service was very efficient, and the servers were attentive. We felt lucky to get seated so easily, especially since we arrived after lunchtime.
The atmosphere was reminiscent of an old-style restaurant. While it wasn’t fancy, it didn’t bother me.
Staffs are still friendly but the best dish is “ice cream”!
Hot and sour soup was not bad, but all others tasted the same soybean sauce and oyster sauce with thick starch!
Hope other customers have a better experience.
First off, we got there and there was a small wait (5 groups ahead of us). You join a waitlist and you can see when your party is next.
My boyfriend & I shared a Half Pekiing Duck, the Roast Pork & Peking Duck BBQ Rice Platter, and Roast Pork Shrimp Dumpling Noodle Soup. The size of the dishes are huge, we stuffed our faces with no regret because each thing we ordered was DELICIOUS.
Meats were juicy, flavorful, and plentiful. Fair pricing for all the items on the menu, too!
100% going back the next time we’re in Philly.
Service: we ordered take out. It took avout 15mins. So we took a walk around Chinatown and checked out more local fans. You can’t go wrong here.
And they were some of the juiciest, tastiest nibbles of duck I’ve ever had. If the full duck meals are just as good, then this place is legendary.
I decided to order the Sweet and Sour chicken – pretty good, large portion, enough to take half of it home. Food came out quick, and service was great. It’s a nice place for a sit-in lunch.
