The Cowboy Ribeye was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. It had that serious steakhouse sizzle that makes you feel like you made a great life decision.
We also ordered the chilled seafood tower, which felt like we adopted half the ocean for the evening. Everything was fresh and delicious. The lobster mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and probably illegal in at least a few states. No regrets.
Jordan was our waiter and he was excellent. Attentive without hovering, helpful without being pushy, and somehow always appeared right when we needed something. If you go, ask for Jordan.
Five stars and possibly a larger pants size next visit.
P.S. ignore the calories. I convinced myself they were lying to me so I would have zero guilt for taking in a weeks’ worth of caloric intake in one meal.
I asked for a glass of pinto grigio she asked 6 or 9 ounce obviously im gonna go for the 9 Oz poured as its always more bank for your buck, now before I go on lol with it being a drug rep dinner they don’t pay for alcohol so we have to pay for our own. Not one time did the waitress ask or show me a drink menu to pick a wine and im sure they have plenty now dont get me wrong the wine was great!! Until the check came i was like what the duck 36 dollars for a glass of wine 9oz I could have received 2 9 Oz pours at j Michael prime for that price I told the waitress that the wine was so expensive and that it was crazy. That 36 dollars is alot for one glass of wine she laughed and I said next time I expect a menu lol to pick my wine and st Michelle’s is not that expensive of a wine in the store. Overrated steak house with ridiculous wine prices.. cheesecake was for dessert I took it home with me it was ok cheesecake 2 bites and it was gone lol the steak was the winner of it all. There Christmas decorations were beautiful loved all the blue silver and the big blue Santa.
Why is it that good? Their food is on point for sure. What grabs me though is the people – I’ve been treated well for sure but I’ve also seen the staff treat everyone that walks in with respect and service. Some Ruth’s Chris are stand alone restaurants with a valet but this one is attached to a hotel with an extremely varied clientele. People wander in wearing shorts, a t shirt and flip flops but the staff treats them the same as anyone else.
Drinks are sublime and the food – oh wow! The food!!!!
I’ve had quite a few offerings over the past 4 years and I’ll say, if it sounds good – it is good. Their execution is sublime so just go with your gut. Not sure about the lamb but it’s speaking to you? Yeah, same thing for me but I finally had it and I’m sharing the photo – it was the absolute most amazing dish I could’ve imagined and I almost missed it because of fear: so lean in, talk to Marcos, Garrison, Olivia, or Rachel – tell them Tait sent you – they will guide you expertly to an outstanding experience. If I’m wrong, message me and I’ll reimburse you personally- that’s how much I love this spot in Chattanooga
First, our server Gill was absolutely phenomenal. Great energy, personable, attentive, and was ready to resolve any issues that came up. Gill was the highlight of our evening.
Now, the food unfortunately, it was not worth the price at all. Ruth’s Chris Steak House no longer feels like the upscale steakhouse it once was. The food tasted no different than steak and potatoes you could get almost anywhere else.
Our steak came out well done instead of the requested temperature, and the mashed potatoes were cold and I mean actually cold, not lukewarm. The tomato soup tasted like warmed tomato sauce and was overwhelmingly salty, which says a lot coming from someone who truly enjoys well-seasoned food. The chicken was the only dish that genuinely tasted good
Gill was so nice and accommodating that I didn’t have the heart to keep sending food back, but for a $245 bill, I expected far more in terms of quality and execution. I hadn’t been to Ruth’s Chris in years, and this visit quickly reminded me why.
I hate writing reviews like this, especially as a true foodie who doesn’t mind spending money on quality. But when you’re paying at this level, the food should match the price and unfortunately, it just didn’t.
