I loved everything about this place. The food was amazing. So were the drinks and wine. Our waiter was awesome, attentive and great with suggestions. I especially liked the cast iron steak and the grouper. Bread pudding was memorable too & creme brulee. Atmosphere was great and the manager came to check on us. Highly recommend.

Tonight we went out to celebrate our first home visit by a potential buyer. Don’t ask no word back yet but we had a great dinner! We went to Pilot House on the river. We have not been there for months. We started off with a bottle of Prosecco and creamy crab dip! My wife ordered Blackened Redfish and I had the Chicken Paillard . Both were delicious and made a great way to look forward to a new adventure!
Not only is the food superb the service we received was equally top notch! Our Server Aly D was professional, friendly and made sure our evening was great success. This is why after the summer visitors go home we have a great food community and many months of enjoyment!

The food was spectacular. I especially loved the hostess—she has a bubbly, radiant personality that made us feel so welcome. Our waitress was kind and attentive throughout the meal. Sitting inside with a water view during the light drizzle was perfect; it was warm, comfortable, and beautifully set with cushions and a lovely atmosphere. I truly enjoy supporting local restaurants, and the fresh food, cooked in-house with high-quality ingredients, was absolutely worth the drive.

The Pilot House has a beautiful setting with a great atmosphere, and the place itself feels really nice. The food was decent—nothing that really stood out, but it was fine. Unfortunately, the service was a big letdown. It took more than an hour to get our food, and the staff didn’t seem very attentive during the wait. In addition it was too expensive for what it offers. With such a great location, I expected a better experience overall.

I love coming here every time I visit Wilmington. The food has always been tasty, the view of the river is lovely, the staff are friendly, and this time we even got to see “Fred”, the 3.5 foot alligator.

My friend and I went between lunch and dinner, as we just blew into town. (She had been there years and years earlier.)
We had the best server ever! Aaron! My friend is rather picky and Aaron was very accommodating and kind while being so accommodating . She got a steak of some sort… and loved it
I got a blackened grouper with a mango chutney, the side…sweet potato succotash that was out of this world yummy!

We celebrated my mom’s 80th here this evening. The food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic! Everyone loved their meals (my grouper was perfect!) and our server went out of his way to make sure mom had a special evening. Will definitely be back.

The place is quiet on the river with a nice serene view and enjoyable atmosphere the food what’s the height of the night hot fresh ready to eat plates the crab dip was superb great taste not pasty or dried the spir8 drinks was made to perfection I had two lime margaritas with a shot of desarano and it really celebrated my birthday with friends.

We had the pleasure of dining here Saturday evening for my birthday dinner and it was such a lovely experience! Tristan was our server and incredibly kind and helpful, his energy was welcoming. The restaurant is seemingly huge with a lot of dining tables but I would recommend having a reservation for this place. Perfect waterfront experience with decent cocktails and delicious food. Would definitely come back with our family again! The patio is also pet-friendly, and parking is kind of a pain.
