Solid ramen and quick service. Don’t see why people complain about 15% mandatory tip – you would tip anyway in the US and 15% is already the general minimum nowadays. I see it more as a plus in this context.
Ramen broth flavor and noodle texture were good. Can recommend their #2 and #3

Japanese review:
Bad food, presentation, and service. (mandatory 15% tip)
Went in at little after noon on Tuesday. Ordered 2 bowls of ramen. It took about 40 minutes to get our food. It was not pack or busy by any means. The waiter took our order to the table next to us who came in about 20 minutes after us and realized it want theirs so brought it to us without any apologies. Couldn’t even pronounce their own menu item, Gyokai Ramen, correctly.
Gyokai soup was okay. The noodle was described as “thick” but medium thickness at best and was overcooked.
Nishiki was even worse. The noodle was way overcooked, and disproportionate to the amount of the soup. The soup lacked body and umami from the broth and unnecessary corn got in the way of ramen enjoyment.
The place would not last a month in Japan. I would not come back here again. Go to Ultra. The fact that their “specials” aren’t ramen tells you.

Reallgood Ramen, clean tables, and friendly staff. Their black garlic ramen and Takoyaki was really good. the place doesn’t ask you to input tip.they simply do a 15% service charge which takes the whole awkwardness of having to tip a little bit more or less out of the equation. will be back

The best ramen I’ve had in San Diego. Creamy noodles and thick flavourful broth

Oily to the point of disgusting. I cannot believe this place has such high ratings. I order the number 1 item on the menu and they basically just gave me a bowl of oil with some soup. See picture. Not to mention it took 20 minutes for the food to get here when restaurant wasn’t even full. No efficiency, automatic tip, and the worst bowl of ramen ever. I’m speechless

Ramen is good. Cornes are little bit cool, but noodles are good.
I don’t recommend Japanese people Gyoza because it is Americanized. This is fried rather than burned. Taste like a frozen Gyoza. Of course, it’s good but it’s not Japanese Gyoza.

I went there last night, and the experience was honestly disappointing.
I asked for a booth, and the staff told me they were saving it for a larger group. Fine — I understood. But then another group came in after me, and they were given that exact booth. So what was the point of turning me down?

On top of that, my boyfriend’s ramen broth wasn’t even hot. And the 15% service fee? I work in the service industry, so I’m okay with it. What I’m not okay with is getting poor service and still being forced to pay it. If you’re taking 15%, the least you can do is treat customers properly.

With over 2,000 reviews, I expected much better. This was my first time at Nishiki Ramen, and it will likely be my last at this location. I hope other branches take service more seriously.

The best Ramen I have ever had. I don’t eat Ramen very often, and I think it might be because I haven’t found a spot that is good. Now that I know how good Ramen is supposed to taste. I crave it now. Specifically from this restaurant. The broth was tasty and delicious. I had wheat noodles. They were delicious too. I ordered the spicy chicken and told them lightly salted. Because the waitress let me know ahead of time that it might be too salty; and if I actually liked salt. Thanks for the heads up to that waitress. I had the best Ramen in my life!

First time eating at this Ramen place, and I gotta say, the food was Delicious!! The ramen had tons of flavor and they were perfectly made, they were not over crowded with toppings. Even the kids menu was awesome, it comes with ramen, chicken tenders, fries, and a creamy drink. The only downside was the cleanliness of the restaurant near the bathroom section. While waiting in line to use the restroom, that whole section is filthy, the walls are extremely dirty, like if they have not been cleaned in years, including the floor.

Ordered the #1, its was super richy garlicky creamy ramen.
There is always a wait time but once you are seated the service is pretty fast.
But be AWARE you will get charged a 15% tip (even though that’s kind of illegal in California )
