We are always open for Lunch 11am to 2pm Monday thru Saturday. Gino Minardi was born and raised in the coastal town of Gela, Italy, which is located in the province of Caltanissetta. He came to America in 1957 and settled in Brooklyn, New York. Spending much of his time working in a local bakery, Gino began spending the rest of his time dating the love of his life, Angela. They married in 1959 and eventually moved to New Jersey where he opened his first Italian-American bakery/pizzeria. After moving to Florida and opening a pizza shop, his friend Tony from Sicily talked Gino and his brother Luciano into coming to Texas for a partnership in Galveston.
Family-run spot with Italian standards like pasta, pizza & subs in a casual strip-mall outpost.

Food is delicious. Atmosphere gives the feel of a comfy Italian restaurant.
On this visit we ordered as our main dishes crab raviolis, chicken piccata. Everything was delicious.
Returned today. Ok ok. My bad. His name is James Angelo . He told me the staff has given him a hard time about the mix up. He’s wonderful
To top it all off they handed out discount coupons and a rose. Great example of a business caring about their customers and going the extra mile. It would be a mistake not to come here. I’ll definitely be back!
I’d say the only downside is the parking lot gets full very fast, but that’s not the owners or staffs fault, and you just have to be patient finding a spot.
But what truly made the night special was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm—always checking in with a smile. It felt like dining with family. Gino’s has definitely earned a spot on our go-to list for Italian food in the area!
The dish was absolutely exceptional – each ravioli was perfectly cooked, tender yet with just the right bite. The creamy pesto sauce was a revelation: rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced without being heavy. You could taste the freshness in every component, and the flavors came together in perfect harmony. I savored every single bite.
The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a work lunch – comfortable enough to relax but with great energy. Our group had a wonderful time, and the service complemented the outstanding food.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine that truly delivers on taste, Gino’s is the place. The spinach ravioli alone is worth the visit, but I have a feeling everything on their menu is just as thoughtfully prepared. I’m already planning my next visit to explore more of their offerings.
Highly recommend!
My second visit was a few weeks ago when I took my granddaughters out for girls’ day. First it was a spa treatment then time for lunch. Asked where they’d like to go and of course they say Mickey D’s which I vehemently say NO. Then one said, OK, I want spaghetti. My memory brought me back to Gino’s. It was a perfect choice. The girls had a good selection to choose from and the food was 10+ according to the girls. I enjoyed the meal and atmosphere but all three of us agree that service was subpar. That didn’t disappoint us enough to not wanting to return. Girls and I had a great time and I asked them, next time we come to Round Rock where would y’all like to eat and they both yelled, GINO’S!
