Rustic-chic place with an extensive patio & reservoir vistas featuring fine Mexican food & drinks.

As Texans currently living up here in the Northeast, we don’t hand out compliments on Mexican food lightly. ️ But Las Mañanitas in Brewster definitely held its own!
We ordered the Burrito Corazón and the pozole, and both hit the spot. The burrito was hearty, flavorful, and packed just right — no skimpy fillings here. And the pozole? Warm, comforting, and full of rich flavor that made us forget for a minute we were north of the Mason-Dixon line.
Is it Texas border-town level? Let’s just say… for New York, this was pretty solid Mexican food. And that’s coming from folks who know their salsa from their sauce.
The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, service was friendly, and overall it was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back when that Mexican food craving kicks in again.
From Texas with love… this one gets a thumbs up

Had dinner there for the first time yesterday…Friday night. Place was a lot bigger than I expected…very spacious and nicely decorated. We were greeted and seated promptly. Service was quick and friendly. Complimentary nachos and salsa was very good. Drink menu was great. Food was very good. Place was PACKED when we left. Will def be back.

A nice looking restaurant with a view of a beautiful lake surrounded by woods. Pretty decor, with a Mexican accent. There is a section which has a big fireplace burning while you dine in the winter. There’s a terrace which can be used for events as well as a private dining area inside. The terrace was closed since it was the of November and too cold outside. The restaurant had a nice size crowd for dinner and in the bar area also. The restroom was clean and quaint!
I was a little disappointed with the food, it was on the bland side. The menu is extensive and the presentation was pretty. It was my first time here, but I will give it a second try

This is one of my favorite restaurants ever! The menu has lots of great choices, the food is excellent, and the service is outstanding. You can eat either inside or out on the beautiful terrace ( weather permitting), with wonderful views of the reservoir and lush greenery surrounding you. It’s incredibly peaceful and a truly unique experience. I’ve never had anything but a great experience there!

Walking into the restaurant for the first time and it smelled like a Mexican kitchen/dining room with freshly cooked food and tortillas for the family to share. We chose this location to celebrate a friend’s birthday and they gave us one of the best tables available for a party of 6. A table with a view over the water and their outdoor seating. They also allowed us to set up our little corner with decorations for our friends birthday. All the staff members were attentive to our table and helped with any requests we had. I ordered their birria dish and it was prepare was I was accustomed to growing up in a bowl for us to build our own tacos with a side of rice and beans, tortillas and onions, cilantro, and chopped jalapenos for you to garnish your taco to your pleasing. Beverages were great, we had margaritas, aperol spritz, and old fashioned, along with shots. Overall a great experience and the staff prepared an amazing brownie birthday platter for us as they sang and played music when they brought it over. I definitely would remember this to anyone who would like a memorable experience full of authentic Mexican food, and great accommodating service. Very grateful for the time we had here, and all their help.

Las Mañanitas turned our 48th anniversary into an unforgettable evening! After a disappointing experience at another restaurant that we walked out on, we decided to try Las Mañanitas for the first time—and what a smart decision that was!
The manager, Christopher, immediately seated us at the best table overlooking the beautiful reservoir. Within seconds we were greeted warmly by our waitress Bella, and Kevin and the rest of the staff made us feel like family. Christopher even sent over margaritas on the house to celebrate.
The food was amazingly delicious, the view was breathtaking, and the hospitality was outstanding. Thank you to the entire team for rescuing our anniversary and making it so special. La Mañanitas is now our new favorite restaurant in the Hudson Valley!
Oh! Did I mention how affordable our dinner was?
We have not found a restaurant that has better food, atmosphere and hospitality for such a great price!

Beautiful location, indoor/outdoor seating. Tastefully decorated with a fireplace inside and electronic shades to open for a airy dining experience. Homemade guac was yummy, the salas’s are quite bland and very tomato tasting. The food I don’t believe to be authentic, but catered to those that dine here. Drinks were good. Servers were quite attentive.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to.
Las Mañanitas is the full package: authentic Mexican food, excellent service, and one of the most beautiful views in the area. The location is absolutely stunning—set on a hill overlooking the East Branch Reservoir, with an outdoor patio that gives you panoramic water views surrounded by trees and nature. It’s peaceful, scenic, and the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal.
The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything was prepared just right. From the guacamole to the main dishes, everything was delicious. The drinks were also amazing—especially the margaritas.
The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and festive at the same time. Whether you’re sitting inside by the fireplace or outside on the patio, the ambiance is just right. It’s great for a date night, a family dinner, or even special events.
Overall, I highly recommend Las Mañanitas. Great food, great service, and a view that will take your breath away.

Experience was great. Service was awesome. Margaritas were great and food was great. I probably wouldn’t get the Birria tacos again but they weren’t bad. Just wasn’t the flavor I was looking for. The burrito was tasty though. Would definitely return to try more things.

Food and service are pretty good. Atmosphere is just a bit loud. Traditional stuff is always great, modern plays on stuff and ameeicanized adaptations are pretty good, drinks and selections are great, staff is always great.
