This was a mediocre experience for an Outback Steakhouse. This is honestly one of the worst NY Strip steaks I have had. It was tough, over cooked, and heavily seasoned to cover up the low quality beef that was being served.
The shining star was the service which was on top of their game. I do not think I would return to this location.

We haven’t been to Outback for a long time but we were surprisingly pleased. The service was great and the entrees were delicious. The blooming onion was sent back because it was dripping in deep fryer oil but also cold in the middle. The French Onion soup is better than most. The atmosphere was very comfortable and enjoyable.

We had takeout from Outback Steakhouse, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food was fresh, hot, and cooked exactly right—nothing missing, nothing overdone. Everything tasted just as good as dining in.
What really stood out was the speed and efficiency. Once we arrived to pick up our order, the service was incredibly fast and smooth. No waiting around, no confusion—just friendly, professional service and food ready to go.
This was a flawless takeout experience, and we’ll definitely be back. Outback nailed it!

Former big fan of Outback. Arrived to a sticky, crumby mess. But Wings were wonderful, amazing! Ordered a NY strip and a ribeye, strip was toughest cut I’ve ever had, ribeye taste spoiled, replaced with prime rib- it was great!! Service was good. Bottled drinks far more expensive than any neighboring restaurants. Disappointing trip in Cookeville.

When arriving to the restaurant there was no wait which was good however I was sick right behind the hostess which the volume was not as desired. The food was absolutely disgusting undercooked steak in mashed potatoes were extremely runny. However the waitress Bethany amazing at customer service!

We had such a late night and my family and I got there 10 minutes before close. I sent my husband in to make sure they were still serving, and if getting something to eat so close to closeing would be okay. The staff was so friendly khaki was our server and she made the best drinks. Then the manager came to our table and let us know our food was covered since it was so late. I tried to get him to let me pay because we were using gift cards from Christmas but he insisted, and after the day I had i allmost started crying. The food was delicious, the service was splendid, and the over all cleanliness and atmosphere was spectacular. The only complaint I have is the changing station in the women’s bathroom was so high I had to stand on my tiptoes, but it got the job done I’m just a little short.

I have never had a steak with that was salty as I did here. It was so bad that my lips was burning and my throat. It was awful. Absolutely awful. My daughter had same reaction. Then to make things worst dust was everywhere . If someone was walking by you could see it in the air falling on our table. Worst outback i have ever been to. I will never go back to this location

Dirty place, wait staff need training and not enough of them to properly handle the small amount of people that were there. Our waitress was friendly but apparently overwhelmed.
I ordered the shiskebob which was pretty good except I had asked for no onions and they were still there.
My wife had the hamburger no onions or tomato and it had both when it was served. No other complaints about the food.
We were finally asked about the food near the end of the meal, thankfully there were no other issues.

Our waitress was great and the food was delicious. All the staff were polite and very efficient. The only reason I’m giving three stars instead of five is because overhead lamps that were over every table were super filthy. We were enjoying our meal and suddenly noticed the crazy amount of dust on the lamp right above our food. And every lamp next to us was the same. The worst part is there were spit balls on it. Like some kids were chewing paper and blowing it up there with the straw. The idea that it can fall into our food is so disgusting. I really expect better cleanliness in an expensive restaurant like this.

We came in on 29 November expecting somewhat OK service and decent food and left with our minds blown. Our server, Joanna M, did such a fantastic job. It really changed our impression of this place. Not only was she prompt on time and funny she was handling us, as well as many other individuals in there with such grace and kindness that I’m not used to seeing at this time of year. She made our drinks were full. Make sure we got all the extras we needed from sauces to lemon in our glass of water. it was such a breath of fresh air to come in and have such a pleasant dining experience. Not only was the food wonderful the recommendations for it were on point. I can’t wait to come back and have more.
