Meatloaf wasnt the best and the ribeye wasnt either!! A 70$ lunch!!
Onion rings were AWESOME! Breaded mushrooms were tasty also!!
I was very amazed with the view of this place. The restaurant was cozy and nice( loved the name tags for the tables).. I got to see the boat and I loved that!!

We drove 2.7 hours down to enjoy the Cat Fish and Chicken Pot Pie. We were not disappointed. Our server Carrie was an absolute dream. She was just attentive enough while also not overwhelming. I could go on and on about my Cat Fish it is the best I have had since leaving South Carolina. The view is amazing… but the food is better than the view.

First visit did not disappoint! Service was outstanding and extremely helpful. Lunch included the Pot Pie, Cod Platter and the Beef Manhattan. All three were delicious and the portions were generous. The Blackberry Cobbler with ice cream is a must have! Our seats were in a corner with views out both sides. Be sure to pick up some homemade chocolates for your drive home. Extremely enjoyable time.

We love taking trips to The Overlook. The chicken is delicious, and always juicy. The sides are fresh and flavorful as well. Throw in a beautiful, elevated view of the Ohio River and gorgeous country side with rolling hills and trees to top off this gem.

You can feel the nostalgia of the restaurant as soon as you walk in the place. It is a cool place to sit in the shade on a 90 degree day. We are looking forward to visiting again. It was a 1hr drive for us but as you can see that we didn’t mind. We got the Reuben and the cod sandwich and both were scrumptious.

This wonderful establishment has been in business since the 1930’s. Great country food with good service and a fabulous view of the Ox Bow Bend of the Ohio River.
We come for the Coconut Cream Pie! Enjoy fried chicken, liver and onions, catfish, Reuben’s burgers, meatloaf and other homemade favorites. Don’t pass up the fresh made soups and salads. The bean and ham soup is excellent.
The staff is friendly and eager to assist with taking group photos with a beautiful view in the background. There is also outside seating available.
The drive getting here is also very enjoyable.

Wonderful people and service. My daughter really liked her BLT, my friend liked her baked cod with lemon pepper, but I found my fried cod to be lacking in flavor and the green beans were a bit meh. Mashed potatoes with the white gravy were so very yum though. I’ll definitely go back.

We stopped here on the way back from holiday world. We both had the fried cod and it was so awesome! The sides and roll were also great. The coconut cream pie was huge. The service was great and the view of the Ohio was amazing!
