Nice traditional pub grub, with some great student deals, which our server Louie went to great lengths to explain all the student deals available, as we were there with our daughter to enrol her at Winchester Uni nearby.
Cheap drink rates are available for Students plus 20% off the menu for our whole group of 4.
He also informed us of their range of speciality nights including Karaoke and quiz nights
A great bar for viewing sports too, with TV’s at several tables, as well as a huge screen in the main restaurant

Solid 4. Food was nice. Service was very attentive and circulated the place every now and then making sure people could order without moving from their tables or using app. Nice amount of TV to watch the football with booths to watch them “privately” with a group.

Great food at a great price. I had a gammon steak with an egg and pineapple, including chips and peas. Accompanied with a Guinness. All for £9.75. The staff gave good service too.

We had an excellent experience at O’Neill’s Winchester, and a huge part of that was thanks to Ben. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome — attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. He handled everything smoothly, from taking orders to checking in at just the right times, and even offered great recommendations from the menu.
It’s rare these days to find someone who strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, but Ben absolutely nailed it. The atmosphere in the pub was lively and comfortable, and his attitude really added to the overall experience.
If you visit O’Neill’s Winchester, look out for Ben — he’s a credit to the place. We’ll definitely be back!

Came in at lunchtime with family for some nibbles – great food, relaxed atmosphere and a nice spot for drinks or watching a game. Big thanks to Louis, our table attendant, who was super friendly and looked after us really well.

This is a really friendly place to go. Everyone working there is nice, polite, helpful, and funny.
The food is excellent and a very good price. Everything is freshly made and tastes amazing. It is grilled rather than just heated up and it makes a huge difference.

There is a good choice of food and drinks here, we have been to Oneils Twice now, once on a Friday night whilst out for drinks, which was such a good laugh, with a great band on too.
We were in Winchester yesterday and thought we would go there for lunch, we had our dog with us and not many places would allow him in.
We were greeted by Ben, who was really helpful, great service, happy and inventive,
Without people like this in places like this, the British food industry would be crap.
