Steak Point was among top-recommedations, so we went there, also due to a lot of good ratings and beneficial central location.
Went there for lunch, with no reservation and easily got a table on the second floor, as there were only 2 tables occupied at that time.
The menu was nicely arranged, with descriptions and explanations.
The winelist looked well-assembled and affordable.
We ordered garlic shrimps to start (awesome and much recommended!) and 2 different meat-loafs to share.
Once we were brought the meat we realized that:
– we had not been asked, how it should be cooked (probably for the 1st time across even non-meat-places)
– meat was made medium-well (probably even well-done), despite our regular preferences of “medium”.
We did not want to be a problem, so went on eating, having exchanged mutual surprise.
Finally, once the waiter asked if all good, we shared politely our point, and the guy suggested to substitute the steak (fair enough, but it was obvious that we would never be able to have more))).
To sum up- this is a popular place with a lot of people coming (while we sat there, the restaurant got gradually almost full by 5PM), the meat itself seems okay, the wines and other dishes also, but questions did arise in our specific case, so next time we would rather try another meat-place.
Steaks we’re perfectly cooked and the sides the same.
Waiter serving us seemed a little stretched and looked like he could have done with some help but was very friendly and polite while with us.
Very reasonably priced especially for the quality.
Wouldn’t hesitate to return again.
