The atmosphere is fine, nothing super special though. The service is also ok, not friendly, not unfriendly, nothing special. To me it is an overhyped shop anyway, but after yesterday I do not plan to ever set foot in there again.
I even asked the waiter if they had a normal cup, and he gave a ridiculous answer like, “This is our normal cup.” Of course, after that response, he didn’t get a tip from anyone at the table.
Remember that they only accept cash!
First off – Cash Only
This place was pretentious as hell, and yet with the quality of the drinks and time it took to be served it had no right to be. Apparently I have to make my own “Hot” chocolate for €6.70.
Essentially, I was given a cold bowl of frothy milk and there is a seperate chocolate bar you are meant to put inside to melt and stir.
The problem being that the cup was cold by the time it got to me that it didn’t melt into the drink . So I had random chunks of chocolate pieces in cold milk. What a joke.
My friend ordered an Espresso but ended up with a weak Cappuccino instead.
The food itself was okay, it wasn’t anything to write home about but I would avoid this place at all costs.
I couldn’t immediately find the name of this establishment, as the menu shows a completely different name.
The price of the eclair dessert is that it is delicious, but for such a price it would be possible to present it in a more interesting way than just putting it on a plate.
How about coffee? Delicious.
The waiters are friendly and dressed neatly and elegantly.
The big downside is that they only accept cash. Which is not very convenient for visitors. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy. Quiet and calm music is playing.
The facility is not new, so don’t expect everything to be perfect here. I don’t think this institution will be my favorite. But it is clear that the owners are trying best.
I had the Tartine Avocat (dark bread with cottage cheese, avocado, and chilli), which was simply perfect, and, lucky, not spicy. I also had a decaf Café au lait, and my mother drank some white sparkling wine, both of which were to our satisfaction.
The interior is super cozy, the staff is friendly and quick, and the menu is very diverse. Everyone’s food looked truly amazing, and I can see why Le Bol is so popular.
Absolutely loved my time there and will 100% be back!
Ps: Be aware that they only accept cash payment.
