Great experience at Outback! Even on a busy game night in Norman, the wait was only about 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all. The service was very quick and efficient. I’ve been wanting one of the koalas from the commercials forever, so I was determined to get one.
The koala drink wasn’t exactly my taste, but that’s just a personal preference lol (not a coffee martini fan but needed that koala). Still a solid 5-star visit overall. We will be back!

Update: the manager sent me a gift card to try them again. Got 3 appetizers and 3 beers (shared with a friend) and the bill still hit close to 80. Service was better today but the food was still so so. Clearly not my place, but I’ll take food from a 1 to a 2 because at least the shrimp were decent today. No, I didn’t order a steak here again.
Today was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at an Outback. My husband and I swung in to grab lunch together and were looking forward to it. Most enjoyable part was walking through the door, then it went downhill pretty quickly. I can handle the tea not being brewed yet, no big deal. Ordered a Coke because who doesn’t like that? Bread was even good. That’s it. That’s the last thing that was good. The Blooming Onion was incredibly bitter. We used the butter on the table to remove the taste from our mouths. We both ordered a steak, potato and caesar salad. Two bites into the caesar I couldn’t taste anything but lettuce and finally said something to the waitress, the manager did offer another salad but I said no. We still had steaks coming so whatever. My filet was supposed to be medium rare, but I could’ve cooked this cow more with a Bic lighter. My husband got the Ribeye which was just so, so. When the manager came back and asked about our experience I said it was just “okay” because that’s all it was. She told me to let them know if they could make it better next time. Comping even the onion off of our bill would’ve helped. Instead we dropped our money on the table and left. Legitimately only having enjoyed bread and part of a potato. If you like only carbs I guess this may have been a good experience. For the price of eating a steak these days this was like a kick in the teeth to have it not work out.
Edit: The general manager has reached out and provided us with the opportunity to come back and try then again. I can appreciate that much.

SUSAN- THE MANAGER SUSAN. Let me tell you. I really do rarely leave good reviews (I have WAY more bad reviews than good ones )
I told her how my steak had “been” being prepared the last couple times we were there and she MADE SURE it was excellently cooked. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars on food was because my moms shrimp and mushrooms she said were gross (like stale for the shrimp, tasted recooked and she lovvvves mushrooms but said they did not taste good) but because she didn’t say anything (I hate when people do that, I told her to say something but it was late and we were pretty much the only ones left) then I gave it a 4 star.
But Susan is probably the utmost NICEST and FRIENDLIEST manager I’ve EVER encountered and that is saying a lot because I’ve worked in the service industry for more than 17 years so I MYSELF have came across tons of managers that I personally worked with.
She was SO pleasant but also treated us like family.
I liked our server, but not enough to want to leave a review on him ♀️ he did get a $40 tip so he was good, but it was also because Susan went above and beyond to make sure everything was okay with me and my kiddos steak and even made new fresh cheese fries for my kiddo (they were SOOOOO good, I may or may not have stolen a bunch of cheese fries when she was playing on the game thing at the table )
We have encountered another manager there, I don’t know her name but she has longer light brownish hair, thin and VERY nice also (had 2 interactions with her on 2 prior occasions to this review) and was very very impressed by her as well!!! I wish I knew her name so I could recognize her too. She wore her hair in a super slicked back ponytail and had on some sort of sweater type thing both times we saw her (probably cold natured like I am lol) maybe late 30s early 40s (I am 41) but might be older, she looked that age range though. Worked night shift both times. If this describes someone and you know her name- please recognize her too. Also, tell her that I am happy to report my significant other still didn’t die from the pork chop if she responds accordingly, you’ll know it was her (she will know because that’s almost what happened the first time we saw her and the second time we told her “hey look, I’m still alive that pork chop didn’t kill me after all” ) and she could even tell you why and what happened
THOSE 2 MANAGERS MADE OUR VISITS SO BEYOND PLEASANT!!!! I’ve always said we don’t necessarily come for the food, but we DO come for the service and I’ve NEVER came back to ANYWHERE because the MANAGERS were SO excellent but I HAVE to THIS restaurant!!!! first for everything I guess!

Outback is not typically one of our favorite go-to’s.. We got a gift card for Christmas so we made it a date night with the kiddo.. the food was great! Alice Springs was so juicy! Our waitress was very attentive and on point! Over all it was a great experience!

I used to love coming to outback growing up. We decided to give outback a try yesterday after seeing online that its easy to order saltless food here as long as the meat is grilled and you ask for plain food. Knowing my health its hard to eat out. My husband ordered coconut shrimp as an appetizer for him and it was super greasy and dark brown like it was refried. The breading would just fall off the whole shrimp after a bite…It wasn’t good. I ordered a sirloin and my veggies as plain with nothing added to it. My sirloin was very salty- my husband who doesn’t get bothered by salt said his ribeye was really salty too. My sweet potato actually came plain but my broccoli was in butter and tasted like salt was added. Definitely not coming back since you guys dont take simple order requests seriously.

Was asked why we there, advised it was our 45th wedding anniversary, which was answered with “wow”, but nothing else. Ordered the prime rib and it was good, but a little dry. Servers was good and took care of our table.

I ordered take out and it was ready when I went to pick it up Curbside, and it was brought out right away. The meal I ordered was Sirloin Steak and Coconut Shrimp with chili and loaded baked potato as my sides. Everything was great, except for the chili. It was ok, but not the best I ever had. I will try it again just to make sure, but overall I was happy with my experience and I will dine or get take out in the future.

Just not what it used to be. Steak cmwas char burned, service was mediocre at best. Got our drinks as our salads came out awesome d bread when our meal came. Super slow all the way around. Wife’s steak was way over cooked

Toby was our waiter. He did great! We ate a lot of bread and our food was hot, delicious and cooked perfectly. I had a Caesar salad and the dressing was absolutely delicious! Great dinner with no kiddos
