Comfort food dishes are served at this industrial-style dive bar with a relaxed vibe.

Our server was one of the best we have ever had. She was welcoming, attentive and high spirited. I had the fish taco daily special. It was pretty good. It came with chips and salsa but I did not touch those. My husband had a burger and fries (not pictured) which he loved. Our drinks were decent.
Tables were grouped to seat 6 unless you sat at the bar.
Would recommend if you are in the area.

This bar and grill was phenomenal. Great service, delicious food and a wide selection of beers and cocktails. The server we had was attentive, kind, gave recommendations and made sure we never had an empty glass. The food was delicious, from fish tacos, spicy chicken sammies, to steak Gorgonzola bites. Plenty of parking and even though they were busy, there was no wait for a table.

We were greeted by the manager who seated us. Our server was Chloe, and we commented how much we liked the Rusted Spoke Brewing shirt she was wearing. She took our drink order and then began to search for shirts in our sizes since the new season ones had not come in. Our food was served quickly and was very tasty. Chloe was great and checked on us frequently. The manager even made a trip to our table to make sure we had everything we needed. We definitely felt they appreciated our business. A great dinner and excellent service. We will be back !!

Had a great experience here. The prime rib special was the best. They have a great beer selection. The prime rib special and rib eye is better than mine, which is not usually the case. They cook a mean steak. We had the Whitefish spread on the side, which is really good with the pretzel. Get the pretzel! The pretzel is amazing! The BLT and just by itself. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I’m really looking forward to the next visit.
Update: 7/4/25
The Whitefish was very good and had a bacon-ish overtone to it. The pretzel was still amazing. The fish and chips were not too impressive. They seemed straight out of the box from the freezer. The Bahn MI was reportedly a little bland and dry. Fries were pretty good. Spicy chicken was pretty decent. Mushroom soup was really good in my opinion. We really missed the prime rib…. Sundays I guess

Food was pretty good. Came out quickly. Mozzarella sticks are not the traditional stick you get out of a freezer. It’s like fried cheese that gets placed on a hot plate with marinera sauce. Kinda like “OPA!” at a Greek restaurant. Anyway. Hot Chicken Sammich was good. Pretty spicy. BBQ tacos were very yummy, although they do put a lot of coleslaw on them. Burger looked good. There is a kids menu but they didn’t provide one or tell us about it until my 9 y/o already ordered a $17 burger. Thankfully my 7 y/o asked for Chicken Tenders and the waitress said “from the kids menu? sure”. Good beer choices. Prices a bit steep but it’s Mackinaw. At least it’s not a Legio joint.

Don’t come with an appetite!
The service was awesome, very friendly and helpful in sampling beers.
We ordered an appetizer – Streetcorn dip for $13, it was a small custard cup of dip with tortilla chips, seemed a little pricey for the amount. Not meant to share with more than two by any means.
But the most annoying was the pizza, $17 seemed extremely high for the amount served.
And the bathrooms were a little rough.

This establishment was a blessing for us when we visited Mackinaw City from Illinois.
Coming back from Mackinac Island late in the evening leaves you without a lot of food options. Rusted Spoke was the only restaurant open until 10 PM in the city. Starving and tired, we made our way into Rusted Spoke around 9:15 PM. We were sat immediately at the bar. We received a warm welcome from our male server/bartender, who I feel was also the owner. He proceeded to go over the whole menu and recommend options. We decided on the burger and hot honey chicken sandwich (I highly recommend). While eating, our server checked on us numerous times to make sure everything was good and that we shouldn’t worry about the place closing at 10 PM (this was a relief as we were rushing). Our server made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and special when dining there. This service experience made us come back the next night for another meal!
The food was top notch. As mentioned above, try the burger and chicken sandwich. The food was also very filling and helped after a long day of walking on the island.
The atmosphere was fantastic. The theme, lighting, music, furniture, and other deco really gave it a cozy/enjoyable feel. The restaurant also had many other patrons who were enjoying drinks and other food items. You could tell that the Rusted Spoke was a hangout for the locals.
The service was exceptional. As I mentioned above, the owner/bartender made us feel special and showed great hospitality. The other staff were great too and really helped make it a great experience.
To conclude, this place exceeded expectations in all categories and my perception was not biased from hunger/exhaustion…. Please visit this establishment when visiting Mackinac island or Mackinaw City, you will not regret it.

My Wife and I choose this restaurant for our monthly “date night”. We were there around 8pm area. Arrived at a busy parking lot (not a whole lot of parking spaces) but were able to find a parking space pretty fast. walked in and were greeted by friendly staff and seated fast. Drink order was taken fast. and meal order was taken without issue. I have Meat allergy, and waitress did not appear phased by it (a “+” in my opinion). I ordered the “Voyager Vegetarian” flatbread pizza. Wife ordered the “Baked Macaroni & Cheese”. My Pizza was flavorful and well topped. Wife said the brisket was slightly overcooked and the Mac & Cheese was “GFS”, but overall was not bad, just not 5 star (so they got 4.5 star on food). I might consider coming back for another date night.

We liked the food, all 5 of us, although just bar food the flounder fish and chips we great, just too little portions. The brisket and spicy chicken sandwiches good, the bbq pasta good, and fries were crinkle and seasoned great which is simple, but it worked. Simple and effective. Just portions a little small. Beer we tried was # 4 and 7, not good enough, but service was decent. Would come back, just for the food or to try a better brew, which I hope exists. In any case it was fine and I believe they can only get better. Next time hope to add star to review.

We stopped in for dinner after getting off the ferry. They have a nice selection of beer. The service was great. Our food was okay. The brisket/pulled pork tacos just didn’t hit the spot. I think the coleslaw gave them a weird flavor. The hot honey chicken sandwich was okay.
