We stopped here at Shoney’s on the way home from Virginia, it was easy access to leave the highway and get back on. We usually do the breakfast buffet but opted to just order off the menu. The food was hot and very tasty. I would reorder it again. Tho the wait time on our food was a bit long.

The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of delicious staples, from scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, and pancakes (just to name a few). If you love bacon, then you’ll lob this Shoney’s as it was plentiful and continually stocked every few minutes. The atmosphere is great, the restaurant is clean, the food is delicious, and the service was excellent (especially Tracy). Shoney’s was such a staple of numerous family vacations and it’s so nice to see that this location is still offering good food and great memories!

We recently visited Shoney’s and decided to try their breakfast buffet, and it was an enjoyable experience overall. I sampled the scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, and smoked sausage. While the food was great, it wasn’t exactly how I remembered it from my childhood visits, but it still hit the spot. My wife went for the biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, and grits, and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. The variety on the buffet is impressive, offering something for everyone.
The service was excellent—our server was friendly and attentive, making sure our drinks were refilled and that we had everything we needed. The atmosphere added a nostalgic touch to our visit, bringing back fond memories of dining at Shoney’s as a kid.
Overall, I gave them 4 stars. While the food wasn’t exactly as I remembered it, the flavors were still good, the service was great, and the nostalgic atmosphere made it worth the visit. Shoney’s is still a solid choice for a classic breakfast experience!

This restaurant is so ever a great place to eat!!! My husband and I love to eat here. Their breakfast buffet is the best ever!!! All of the hot food was hot and the bar was kept filled and cleaned. Some of the food items were grits, , ,sausage, , , muffins, fruits, & etc. The pricing was very reasonable as well. We traveled 2 1/2 hours to eat here, so you know it has to be a great place to eat!!! Due to no Shoney’s in our area. The customer service is always great as well . We truly enjoyed ourselves. If you are looking for a great country buffet and a very quiet atmosphere, Shoney’s is your place!!! You will not be disappointed. If you ever try them once, you’ll be back again!!!

Family of 9 celebrated a birthday at Shoney’s during the early morning. Food was cold. No variety. Dirty buffet and restaurant overall could use more cleanliness. Nothing appeared fresh. I would recommend other breakfast options in Florence, not impressed with the food more customer service!

My husband said his sirloin steak was the worst he’s ever had – it was overdone, chewy, and fatty. My Mushroom Swiss Chicken didn’t include any mushrooms. The salad was the best part of our meal. When we were asked about our meal, no one responded to the issues or did anything to fix it. The restaurant is outdated and the buffet foods looked very dried out.

There was some hard rice in the fried rice. Only reason why food is rated at 4. We paid with cash because there is a difference in payment when you pay with credit/debit. There are plenty of seating and we seated ourselves. Bathroom is available, plenty of parking and the restaurant is pretty open.

My wife and I were in the Florence area and decided to have breakfast at Shoneys. This is the only one anywhere near our home. The parking lot was full so we expected a crowd. Although they were very busy we were seated very quickly. The breakfast buffet turned out to be quite delicious. The bacon was crispy and all other items appeared fresh and the staff maintained the bar very well. I had pancakes and French toast sticks along with scrambled eggs. We found the fruit to be fresh and very tasty. The young lady who waited on our table was nice and friendly and checked on our progress frequently. In most instances I frown on giving low ratings unless they are truly earned. The reason I rated the atmosphere so low was after entering the front door we noticed right away that there was one group seated near by that was terribly loud and rude. Obviously they were travelers and had no respect for other patrons. Their conversations were overwhelmingly loud and disrespectful considering there was children nearby. I understand that’s not Shoneys fault but someone should have approached the group and asked for consideration of other customers. I almost did it myself but I didn’t think it was appropriate. We will return in the future I just hope that we don’t encounter another group like this one. Thanks Shoneys for a delicious breakfast. Shame on those that feel like they can act like idiots anywhere they want to.

We went for breakfast this morning and will definitely be going back! Food was hot and delicious with many options to choose from! Bar was clean! Not sure why we haven’t been coming regularly before now? We had Ashley as our server and we didn’t want for a thing drinks kept full and table was cleaned and she was very sweet and inviting! Five stars all the way around…hands down!!
