”Tonight’s dinner was a masterclass in heat and flavor. From the first bite of the Duck curry to the last spoonful of Mango Sticky Rice, everything was flawlessly executed. We had a great dinner at Südøst, sitting outside by the river among the trees. Lovely spot, perfect for a date.
We ordered the pangang duck and pad thai. Both full of flavour, texture a d color.. For dessert, we had the amazing thairamisu and mango sticky pudding. Both incredible
I also had a cocktail with mango and lime, which was refreshing and went well with the food.
The service was friendly, and the price was reasonable, around 500 NOK per person. A place we would be happy to visit again.

Let me first say that this is one of the best vegan meals I’ve had in Oslo.
The place is large but cozy, and the staff are attentive and polite. We had the vegan crispy duck and vegan crispy duck massaman. They were both incredible. Such a strong flavor on the crispy duck, and the combinations are great, especially on the vegan crispy duck dish.
They also have a vegan three-course menu which I wanna try next time.
I cannot recommend this place enough.

This is really cool restaurant! It was my first time at Sudøst, but the taste of the food, drinks and dishes were very delicious. The atmosphere was also great and we were very impressed with Dominique service. He recommended us very good food and drinks.

Sudøst Restaurant served us the best food we’ve had in Oslo. We opted for one of their signature menus, and it did not disappoint—though it was a bit too much for two people, every dish was amazing. The only hiccup was finding intestines in one of the prawns, but the way the staff handled it was exceptional. They quickly replaced the dish and even offered us Prosecco as an apology. Thankfully, we noticed it before eating. Despite this, they still deserve the highest rating for their great service, attentive waiters, and fantastic cocktails. A must-visit dining spot

I have been there couple times and it was always nice and cozy, but today made me never come back. We got seated by the entrance, whenever someone was coming to the door, came very cold wind, I needed to sit with my jacket on my shoulders.
Our waiter didn’t asked if the food was good once, just if he can take the plates out, he was pushing us by asking several times to order drinks when we said that just water for us, from the start.
The food… we had tasting menu with 5 servings, mostly no flavor, just spicy. The best thing was dessert that you can’t mess with.
Feeling so sorry about this night, not only valentines but just as an experience, totally not satisfied.
I guess I will never come back, today left bad aftertaste.

Very very good food but something weird happened as we got served dagens dessert instead of the sticky mango rice that was listed as the desert for Yang Deluxe menu (in the menu and on the website). I pointed it out to the waitress and she said it was Dagens desert not sticky mango, then I was speaking to my partner about it after she left because I was a bit confused and she was passing by and overheard and then unprovoked she came with the menu to show me that it was Dagens dessert

Surprised about the quality. Good food and beautiful interior. We experienced that staff forgot our orders on multiple occasions and at several times they walked past us and bumped into our back or chair. One server was witty but ended up being a little bit offensive when a stranger was saying such things.
