Not thrilled with this place. We came at 5:15 and half of the restaurant was empty, yet they told us that the only available seats were at the bar or it would be a 15–20 minute wait. We were fine with the bar, but it took a while to get the food. The pizzas were quite mediocre and very greasy. The only bright spot was the bartender — she got our drinks quickly, was very cheerful and worked really hard – she was mixing drinks non-stop while we were there. I never realized how much work it takes to manage the bar.

We attended the trivia night (weekly) at the Mellow Mushroom in Sarasota. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, and the trivia questions were challenging. Our group didn’t win, but we had a great time.

I LOVE Mellow Mushroom so much and I wish they had one where I live. Anytime I travel through an area that has one, I always grab a pizza and salad. The dough is perfect, and so are the salads. It is consistently very good. We had the Holy Shiitake pizza, but I had it with red sauce and added sausage–it was so good! We also had the Great White, and the garlic sauce on it is amazing, but I think I want more of the shiitake pizza with red sauce and sausage–next time I will try it with the garlic sauce, but for sure keep the sausage, it’s my new favorite order. We tried the Cheese Mellow Rolls with garlic aioli and spicy ranch, it was super good. The Cesar salad has really creamy sauce, fresh cheese, and it never disappoints. We tried the lavender and the strawberry lemonade, they were both sweet and refreshing. Love this spot, please someone bring them to California!! 🙂

Absolutely on the worst pizzas i’ve ever had in my life ! It was supposed to be steak , ground beef and italian sausage but the whole meats were extremely dry ! The dough was not cooked well. The sauce tasted bad. I hated the food.

Awesome pizza. I only give the service three stars because I ordered two pizzas and they gave me a pickup time 45 minutes later. It actually took over an hour to finally get the pizzas. Just a little slow. And it was really not that busy.

Great lunch spot! Service was awesome — our server was bartending, stocking, and still checked on us multiple times for drinks. Huge shoutout to him for keeping everything smooth. Pizza came out quick, cooked to perfection with great flavor and no burnt spots. Crust was fresh, definitely not frozen. Short wait time and a chill vibe. Would come back for sure!

Ella was our servers and she was funny, fast, and very attentive. The decorations are fun and goofy. I have a gluten allergy and the pizza was delicious with a thin crust that was soft, had good flavor, and won’t take out a tooth. They handle it and cook it separately. No problems eating here. Drop in if you are in the area, they’ll be there.

Amazing experience. Waiter Dan Charland was truly amazing. He was great with our gluten free needs and he was able to make accommodations for everything we needed. He checked up on us, helped us reach our next destination (we stopped for a quick lunch on our road trip) and always made sure we were taken care of. This experience was truly awesome! Thank you Mellow Mushroom and thank you to Dan for making this a great experience!!
