My husband and I were visiting the east coast of Florida for the first time we stopped in The Sandbar after going to the beach every day of our vacation. We had something to eat each day. The food was delicious. Our bartender Nadia was sweet and attentive. The vibe was so chill too. Ps the bathrooms were key getting off the beach being so hot they were air conditioned they had a long cool looking sink with gravel rocks on the bottom and super clean

A great chill vibe Gem on Delray Beach that is definitely worth hitting up and enjoying the vibes, food, drinks, and a good time. I had a phenomenal waitress named Nadia who was very professional and courteous. She did an amazing job on recommending some shrimp tacos that were packed with flavor and texture as well as recommending a great calamari appetizer so if you visit this great establishment ask for Nadia at the bar. I definitely recommend this place folks.

Great burger and a wonderful place. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My wife and I stopped here for an early light dinner on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and a few tacos and were pleased with the friendly bartender and the good service she provided. The tacos were about average but the prices were fair because we ordered them right before happy hour prices ended at 7:00 pm. We left there about 7:30 just as it started to fill up with people who were showing up after work. It’s a very popular place with the locals, and you can’t beat the cool “Tiki Bar” atmosphere and decor. It sits right across A1A from the beach, and there was a nice refreshing breeze blowing in off the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf Stream. I’m sure this place gets very crowded on weekends or holidays. Parking looked to be somewhat of a challenge nearby, but we had parked over half a mile to the west and walked eastward on Atlantic Avenue before arriving here on foot.

The location is great and the drinks are pretty, but $35 and 2 drinks later between my husband and I, we barely tasted any alcohol, and also felt zero effects. Beyond a pretty picture, its overpriced and a waste of money. I feel greater affect from 2 beers at home. Very sad for a bar. We will not be returning.

Great place to grab a drink after the beach, always a different deal going on if you are flexible with what you drink. I got the field goal bang bang crunch wrap on sunday and wow, you better be hungry. Sunday they have specials on a bunch of food. Bartenders are nice and they all work together to make sure you are always taken care of.

Service was excellent and food was delicious. I had the power bowl with blackened shrimp and it had great flavour and variety. Cornhole afterwards was a treat!

It’s was a great choice for a ladies night. There’s a VIP parking for $15.00 at the location unless you get lucky and find an open parking spot. At least the parking at the location is guaranteed. I would suggest making reservations ahead of time and arriving on time too. My motto is “if you’re on time you’re late” this works for places like this. Food was great! DJ was amazing and some Saturdays offer Salsa classes a great choice for a date. Enjoy!

I went on a weekday and the bartender was just not that friendly she was much friendlier with the men that were there no hate but if you’re a lady you might not get the best service the drinks are delicious the food is pretty decent but it did take a while to come out. It’s right on the ocean so if you sit at one of the high tops you can even look out on the ocean the breeze is so lovely and there’s like corn hole if you are into that. It is a nice friendly atmosphere as far as the actual patrons of the bar.

I was denied entry to this restaurant as a 7-month-pregnant woman accompanied by my trained service dog. This is a direct violation of federal law (ADA, Title III), which requires all restaurants to allow service dogs in all public areas. I was calm and compliant, answered all questions about my disability and I even presented my service-animal documentation despite the fact that businesses are not allowed to demand paperwork under ADA rules.

Instead of following the law, the man at the entrance became aggressive, raised his voice at me, and caused unnecessary stress during my pregnancy. This was humiliating, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable.

The entire encounter was recorded, and a formal discrimination complaint will be filed with the appropriate federal and state agencies. There were witnesses present.

For clarity: under the Americans with Disabilities Act, restaurants cannot deny access to a person with a trained service dog, cannot request documentation, and cannot claim “policy” as an excuse. Denying access is federal disability discrimination.

The individual who refused us entry is the man in the white shirt shown in the attached photo.
