The food was very good and definitely the highlight of the visit. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome at all times. The atmosphere is calm and allows for easy conversation, especially if you are not very demanding. However, the first impression could be improved, as the place looks somewhat old and would benefit from renovation. Considering how popular this location is and the beautiful view of the lake, investing in the facilities would greatly enhance the overall experience. One important detail to keep in mind is that they only accept cash or checks, so it is best to come prepared. Overall, it is a good place with strong potential to be even better.

Nice place to sit and watch the boats on the lake while you eat. I ordered the sampler platter which is enough for 2. All of the food comes fried. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very nice. It would be nice if they offered a broiled platter. Only negative is they use soybean oil. But if you are OK with that the food is delicious.

Food has always been great. I go by and pick a couple plates up on my home from work sometimes. Last two times the food has been extra greasy, & the chicken seemed under cooked. They basically refused to give me extra cocktail sauce. Not sure what that’s about.

Great food and great view of the lake. Plenty of seating and parking. The catfish, coleslaw, fries and combination platters were amazing! My platter had 6 pieces of fish along with scallops and shrimp – great deal! We will definitely be back soon!

If you want really good seafood, hot, fresh served incredibly fast & efficiently by friendly people and a beautiful view out over lake Bowen – this is your place! Portions are large so order smaller or take leftovers home for a second meal. All very reasonably priced. Cash only, but there’s an ATM machine inside. Don’t expect fancy, just good. This is like the best of beach seafood here on the lake. We particularly like the jumbo and Calabash shrimp, and fish (flounder). Great hush puppies. The family is split on the scallops some yes and some not as much. Same on deviled crabs. You can try different things by ordering a side serving for the table and see what you think. There’s also a Sunday brunch without as much seafood but other great dishes. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is absolutely fabulous, fantastic service, awesome food and meeting Tim Burton the owner was a special treat. He is so nice and personable and we can’t wait to come back. He loves what he does and it’s reflected in his beautiful, immaculate restaurant.
Now, the food was superb and Erin was our server and she was attentive without being intrusive, very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Great suggestions on what to eat since it was our very first visit but definitely not our last!
Don’t sleep on this fabulous restaurant, to call it a fish house is an understatement it deserved more than five stars but that’s all I could give. Menu is wonderful and we spoke with the couples around us and they were highly satisfied and most were regulars….

They have great food at an affordable price. They also sit on the edge of the lake and you have beautiful views inside and outside of the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the waitresses make sure that they come to check on you several times throughout your dining experience! It was amazing. Without my glasses I can’t see well up close. I put crackers in my tea instead of my chicken stew. The waitress and I got a great laugh. Because of course I couldn’t find my glasses before going in. She was great. Quick to meet my requests and as friendly as you could ask for the food was amazing and the little lady at the checkout was just a sweet little lady and I’m definitely going back. I had the calabash shrimp ,(baby) with a salad and baked potato with cheese and sour cream. I couldn’t ask for a better meal. It was wonderful. If you are wandering if you want to go. Please do. You will love it!!!!!!!

The selection of seafood here was wonderful! We enjoyed everything except the stuffed crab, which was soggy. While the inside needed some maintenance attention, the paintings made the environment interesting and inviting. We were surprised at how quickly we were sat for a completely full parking lot and packed restaurant. We thought it had patio seating on the water for dining, but no service outside available.
