To look after you very well. The food was delicious with a choice of traditional and modern. We had the traditional Grunkohl with fried potato. It was exceptional. Highly recommend this venue.

The food was ok but not great. The baked potatoe was the most highly rated in our family. Some other dishes were cold. We were put off by the fact that special wishes cost 1€ extra. The waitresses were also not willing to put 2 tables next to each other for our larger group although there would have been enough space. Toilets were clean. The best part about the place is the building and ambience.

Was placed in a small enclosed cabin with old black and white photographs of Thomas Mann and Buddenbrook House on the walls. Pretty depressing! Didn’t know what a ‘Scholle’ was but the waiter couldn’t translate into English and there was no internet access in the Ratskeller. Asked for fries instead of braised potatoes but was told I could not change the dish. The fish was burnt on one side, but when I told the already very unfriendly waiter, she just turned on her heel and left! Not a restaurant I would recommend, neither for the interior, the food nor the service.

An excellent Keller (Celler) near Rathaus Lübeck. The traditional ambiance has been well maintained along with an exhaustive beer and wine selection. Although, kitchen closes little early yet it leaves lot of time for enjoying beer and wine.

We went to the Ratskeller Lübeck for lunch on Saturday, it was a warm welcome and we were shown to the “Klookschietereck”. A room full of history, just like the rest of the Ratskeller.
The two waitresses were very friendly and accommodating and answered all of our tourist questions.
When we got our food, we were amazed at the portion sizes. We thought we’d ordered the family portions. There was the “Schweinerei” and the “Eisbein Berliner Art”. After that we had to have a schnapps so that we could continue our visit to Lübeck.On recommendations, there was the homemade herbal liqueur
Should we come back to Lübeck and feel hungry, we would be happy to come back.

This is a very good and exciting restaurant. We ordered a schnitzel, and even though we were very hungry, we had some trouble eating up, and yes it was very good. When you get down to the restaurant, it’s like walking into a museum, or another time.

Great service, classic deco and ambient. Food is okay but I only tried one dish from the menu. (Kitchen time was a bit too short, there were lots of guests coming ca 8 pm and their kitchen is already closed.)
