We arrived at 11:54 and were seated immediately. It took our server about 10 minutes to come by, and when she did, she only stopped briefly to say hello. This was confusing because the restaurant was not busy at the time.

About 10 minutes later she returned to take our drink order but did not ask if we were ready to order food. After bringing the drinks she finally asked if we were ready, and we placed our full order: an appetizer, side salads, and chicken strips with fries and either broccoli or mac and cheese.

The appetizer and salads arrived quickly, but then the long wait began. We noticed multiple tables seated 20 to 30 minutes after us receiving their meals while we were still waiting. When our server came by again she picked up our appetizer plate, which still had food on it, by placing her hand directly on top of the food and asked, “Are you done with this?” At that point we were, because she touched it. She still did not mention anything about our entrées, and by then it was 12:52.

Our patience was wearing thin. Finally at 1:12 our food arrived, 78 minutes after we were seated. Because we had other plans at 1:30 we asked for boxes and the check right away. The fries were cold and hard as if they had been sitting under a warmer too long, and the mac and cheese was rubbery for the same reason I would assume. The chicken and broccoli were hot, which suggests the rest of the meal had been waiting to be served.

The server brought boxes but not the check, then walked away without a word. We attempted to pay online, but the system would not allow us to use more than one gift card. My spouse stood up and made eye contact with our server to get her attention. She waved and immediately went to the back. We ended up leaving without using our gift cards because we could not get any assistance.

If the restaurant had been packed, we would have understood. But it was not. A simple explanation, whether the kitchen was behind or she forgot to place the order, would have made a huge difference. We were pleasant and patient, did not complain partially because we were thinking she’s going to communicate what’s going on and we didn’t want to feel like jerks. ( We also still gave her over 20% tip). Also unrelated, please wipe the bottom part of your tables, I did so the baby could sit there and my multiple wipes were black.

We have not been to LongHorn in over ten years, but decided to visit again because we had gift cards. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication, slow service, and overall poor experience, we will have to reconsider returning in the future.

Do your self a favor, GET YOUR BUTTS TO LONG HORN AN ASK FOR AVA!! Out of our 50 times at least that we have came here. Ava left such a great impression we had to leave our first review. The food was amazing. (Had spinach dip for the first time ever) they did not fail me. My husband and I could not decide on a margarita flavor Ava suggested to get three kinds. An we did. amazing. Perfect dinner for my husband an I to have a nice dinner with out the kids. Full of smiles, laughs and full stomachs.

The Conservative Social Regressive
This is the Longhorn restaurant I go to most in the KC Metro area. Why the one star review, right? The last time I went my wife and I got up and walked out do to not just lack of service but rather in reality our waitress disappeared. We ordered water, mine with lemon. Water came with lemon and no straws. After that the waitress never returned. Our go to wait staff wasn’t working this particular night. If you want excellent service ask for Victor, Mariah, or Jillian (there’s probably a couple in forgetting at the moment). Only ask for them if you tip well, otherwise I didn’t send you. They take care of me and I take care of them. Anyone else for wait staff and you roll the dice or you turn around and walk back out the door. As for management it’s also hit and miss (especially for the front of the house). Given past experiences with the manager on duty this particular night is another reason why we left. It would have been an uphill battle and I was in no mood. The loss is Longhorn’s. When good service and food adds up to a $200 ticket, a customer could be lead to believe they might try a little harder. The three wait staff I mentioned carry this restaurant. It’s sad really. Regardless of where I eat, it’s BugerKing, I’ll have it my way. Especially if I’m paying for it. If they are giving it away, well I still get to decide if I want to eat and or be treated a certain way or not.

We went in at around 6:15 and the bartender was our server. We sat and waited for our salad/soup course for 22 minutes. They were not busy and we watched 8 to 10 salads come out before ours were delivered. A table behind us was served and left before our salads came out, sat again and they still ate before we receivedour main course. Still waiting on the bread she said she would be right back with and it’s been a week now so… The food was good but med rare is about 140 from the middle and this was raw. They cooked it again twice and by then I was done. I know it’s a one off but Texas Roadhouse never misses like this. Also I know that it’s the way things are these days but once you reach 50+ maybe pink and blue hair is not professional and when you sit waitingas long as we did it’sjust irritating. I will be back because we have friends who love this location but not a great meal this time around.

The food here was incredible. Everything we ordered tasted delicious and well-seasoned, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients. From the first bite to the last, it was an excellent experience. This Longhorn location is by far the best!

It was a bit loud in there but we were seated quickly and the food was delicious! Our Waitress August was the best! She was very professional and polite and quick with the drinks we never had to ask for a thing. She moved with ease between her tables and never left us needing more or feeling like we were bothered. She’s truly amazing and will be asking for her next time. Thank you August for the wonderful experience ❤️

We stopped here for dinner tonight. We rarely eat steak out and we’re trying to support the local steakhouse. Most the traffic these days goes to Texas Roadhouse, so we wanted to support the steakhouse this time. We learned the reason everyone has been going to the Texas Roadhouse may be the service here is subpar.

We all 3 ordered steak. It took 55 minutes to see our food. Once it arrived my son’s steak was well done. He ordered medium well. When I say “well done”, I mean tough and hard to chew. So once our waitress returned we sent it back. She was super sweet about it, but another 25 minutes passed and we still had no food for our son. By then we were done and he still had no food. I asked for the manager to inform him of the kitchens issues. The waitress stated that he refused to bring the steak out and told her to do it. Usually the manager brings it once a mistake has been made and checks on the table. After I asked, he came out and said “what would you like me to do about it.” My thought was, “you’re the manager, should you even have to ask?” After a minute he stated he’d take it off. The waitress came back and gave us a check. Then she said, sorry the manager can be like that. I said, it’s fine I’m just gonna pay and move on. She left, then the manager comes back to the table and says, “I heard I’m being unprofessional. Is there something you want me to do?” I never said to the waitress or anyone anything about him being unprofessional. The waitress must have and turned that on me.

The food was all overcooked except the rice which was tough. The time to get the food was terrible. The manager is definitely not good, which showed in his actions and that of the waitresses words.

I’ll probably just go with the flow next time and go to the TRH. I have plenty of reason to, but wanted to help support a business that was here before the were. The only thing going here was it wasn’t as loud as TRH.

Mrs. Kathy is def a great bartender. Steak came out way overcooked and I told her I wasn’t worried about a new one for I didn’t have the time to stick around for another to be made. I asked for my tab and she said what Tab. I’m like my food and she was like yeah you don’t have that anymore I had them remove it. Now see I wasn’t even that mad about it nor tripping but it’s the service like this that’s goes a very long way. I appreciated that a lot and will def be back to this location. She was super nice and sweet although she was hustling getting her butt kicked with the bar and tables lol. Def a hard worker

We had a late lunch here today. The food was delicious as usual. My husband always gets the chicken Parmesan. I branched out and got the strawberry chicken salad with the French onion soup. The soup was the best French onion I have ever had! The salad was excellent too. The hostess Brenda was the sweetest and friendliest. She was helping out our busy waitress by getting our drinks and bread. Our waitress was Kacie and she provided excellent service. We love this location and have always received great food and service.
