She did speak highly of the Alfredo being very creamy and delicious as well as the baked tortellini. We ordered both and shared. The final piece was speaking highly of the tiramisu which is what I wanted more than anything honestly. She confirmed it was imported, very delicious and the box it comes from is actually in Italian! It doesnt get more authentic than that! Well worth getting at the end of the meal!
Stevie was very attentive and thoughtful in her movements and was a genuine pleasure to meet and speak with. For someone so young, she is very poised and graceful . If youre lucky enough to be seated in her area, treat her well because she’s a delight!
We waited over an hour for a table of two, to be fair though it was on a Saturday night. Considering the size of the line I may have had higher expectations for this place.
The sausage was tasty. Everything else was just okay if that.
On top of the great food, the service was incredible – from the warm welcome by the host to the attentive and friendly care from our server. Mondo’s really makes you feel taken care of. Definitely worth a visit for a delicious and affordable lunch!
Good timing today. Light traffic, and to my surprise, Mondo’s has lots of easy to access parking. The restaurant is as attractive on the inside as outside. It looks like and Italian restaurant on the inside. Walls covered with family pictures. If you took the time, you could probably identify pictures of notorious mobsters on the wall.
Immediately greeted and seated by Sandy. We had a big comfortable booth. We had already studied the menu. My wife wanted Baked Ziti. Pasta, tomato sauce and cheese. Something I would never order. She loved it. It is a soup and salad day. Minestrone and a house salad with the house Italian dressing, for me. Exceptionally fresh crisp salad and zesty dressing. The soup listed as cup size is a big cup. Very enjoyable meals.
The ambiance, food quality and outstanding friendly service from Sandy combine to give Mondo’s a five-star rating.
It is such a nice comfortable, attractive restaurant it is cataloged in my favorites file. I like it!
The bruschetta was… fine, nothing special, a little on the dry side. A drizzle of olive oil and a splash of white vinaigrette would take it to the next level (not sure if that’s traditional — but delicious is delicious). And if you ever feel adventurous, a slice of crispy pancetta on top would be so, so good.
Coffee was excellent — rich and smooth. The shrimp limone was the star of the table: fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
The Alfredo didn’t seem very traditional — it was extremely thick, more gravy-like than creamy and silky. The Caesar salad was okay, nothing memorable.
Service was fantastic — quick, friendly, and genuinely friendly the whole time. That alone makes a big difference.
We’d give it another try.
