Decent. Chow mein noodles were a bit thick, they didn’t have orange chicken nor white rice. The little chocolate balls dessert were super dry. The Pepsi was good tho. Oh and the general tso chicken was like all crunch no meat. Clean restaurant

Passing by on a trip and it was fantastic! Everything i tasted was fresh, hot, and delicious! Clean buffet lines and dining room. Those sugary donuts were fresh and fluffy, the noodles probably the best I had in any buffet. I might have been just very hungry from travel, but still need them to relocate closer to me

Super fresh food with a wide variety of different dishes. We enjoyed the sushi, the black pepper chicken, general’s chicken beef with broccoli, green beans, and so much more. The spring rolls and fried dumplings were really good. Our waiter was so kind and kept our drink glasses filled and out emptied plates cleared. The food was fresh and well prepared.

Great atmosphere and selection, but let’s be honest, buffet food isn’t the best. Our server was prompt and polite.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 – very typical of a Chinese buffet where the food does lean on the saltier side but options for carbs, beef, pork, chicken, seafood, “sushi”, fried food, and some desserts. The food was hot and we saw fresh food put out fairly consistently. Most of the sushi are crab salads (imitation crab with mayo) with one that’s more similar to spicy tuna. Crawfish was good but does have an odd seasoning to it. The broccoli beef/chicken was yummy and one of the better dishes. The sweet and sour soup was very spicy from dried red peppers. There is an ice cream machine for dessert but it is more runny.
Ambience: 5/5 – multiple TVs along the wall playing different sports games. No music with only minor decorations but clean overall with someone going by the food stations and wiping quite often
Service: 5/5 – dedicated staff to each section of the seating. Since we did get an early dinner, at one point, we were the only table on his section so he was there every time we finished a plate or the drink ran low. While his English wasn’t the best, he was friendly and very attentive
Value for price: 4/5 – all you can eat price of $16.73 which comes out to an even $18 with tax. Great service, clean environment, and decent food

5 stars for a Chinese buffet place? I kind of think so. This is based on food selection, taste and value. We worked up an appetite hiking all day at Guadalupe Mountains NP and were staying in Carlsbad. The Buffett costs $17 per person and for me, it’s a great value given the huge selection of food. The place is not glamorous, but it’s fine. Our server was all smiles and attentive when needed. The food was hot and buffet items were refilled quickly when things got low. We left really full and happy we gave it a try.

The meat in the stir fried dishes appeared to be cooked several times. I wonder why that was done. When we arrived, the waiter tried to seat us in a corner by the waiter’s table. We didn’t allow it. The water taste like chemicals. When we were leaving, we tipped the waiter and didn’t even get a thank you. To top it all off, I ended getting the flu, but I’m not sure if it was from this location. Overall it was an expensive and bad experience.
