Stylish, airy stop in the Source Hotel for modern Middle Eastern grub such as wood-fired pita bread.

Honestly, probably the best food I’ve had in Denver! Could’ve kept eating that fresh pita all night. In fact if anything, I think we filled up too much on the bread and dips…but the entrees were also fantastic.
The whipped feta and hummus were standouts, along with the super moist harissa chicken! The cocktails were also really unique takes on classics and were delicious.
A bit on the pricey side, but worth it for the quality! Definitely recommend checking this place out and definitely book a resy – it was nearly at capacity on a Tuesday.

As absolute foodies, Safta has been on our list for a while. We have monitored over the years but never made the time to go. Recently we saw the reviews being a bit critical or non-sensical. At this point we decided to just try it and we were not disappointed. We ordered a combination of 7 dishes overall and yes it was a random Thursday, but the kitchen timed coursing perfectly for everything. Our server Duncan really made the experience for us. Attentive and proactive in our needs, great suggestions to maximize how we paired our meal, and overall just a fun person to have as a server! Really they made the experience and the food was the cherry on top. I did not book as a birthday but I did mention it was in fact my Fiancé’s birthday and Duncan had small touches to make her feel special on her special day. Everything tasted spectacular from the NA mocktails/soda to all of the small shared plates and main entrees. I think the star for us was their Persian rice, what an absolute playground of flavors. If you’re open to new flavors, you can’t really go wrong with anything in my humble opinion.

I’d give 4.5 stars if I could. TLDR it’s a bit overpriced but the food is excellent. The pita is perfect, the servers are super friendly, the space is beautiful, and super fun to order a lot of the different dishes to share! Must tries are the lamb hummus, mushroom hummus, muhammara, and the Bulgarian lamb meatballs. Skip the babaganoush and the Persian rice, they were pretty mid. We had 3 different cocktails and all were amazing, but very very pricey.

One of our favorite restaurants in Denver! The mushroom hummus and muhamarra are our favorite dishes. The fried eggplant is also great but could do with a thinner layer of goat cheese. One reason why we love this restaurant is because the servers are fantastic. Many restaurants have great food but poor service because the restaurants get too cocky. But Safta has remained humble and we appreciate that.

We asked our son where he would like to go for a birthday dinner and he said Safta without hesitation. He’d heard good things about the food and has a special love for good falafel. Safta served great food with good service and did not disappoint.
The best way to enjoy the offerings that Safta has is to share plates family style, which is their intention. We had a wonderful sampling of everything from tasty tahini to excellent eggplant.
If I had to find something to criticize it would be the noise level. We had early reservations and things were quiet to begin with. However, as the restaurant started to fill with patrons the noise level quickly became overbearing. We found ourselves struggling to hear and be heard.
Do yourself a favor and try Safta when you get the chance.

If you’re a true foodie who cares more about flavor than hype, this is not the place for you. The food was edible, but nothing memorable, especially for the price point. I expected much more in terms of quality and flavor. (Photo half chicken for $36. Very small bird) we’ve spent $130 for two.
Service was quite slow, perhaps not well trained. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. In my opinion, Crave offers far better quality, flavor, and value for the money.

I love the atmosphere and the quality of the employees communication with you. It was my bday and they celebrated me well.
The pitas are awesome!

Nice middle eastern mix restaurant. Got recommended by a friend. Nice atmosphere overall. A little confusing the entrance it is inside a hotel. Server was courteous and very helpful. If you sit outside there are no heaters. They serve family style. We got hummus and pita then some salad and then some protein portions were okay for 4 people. Food had great flavor Overall great place.

My husband and I were celebrating a 35th anniversary. We were so impressed by the food and the staff. They gave us a free appetizer (beets with whipped ricotta) and we ordered way too much for us to eat, but it is literally impossible to order anything on the menu and not be completely delighted. We’re pescatarians so we didn’t try any of the meat items, but there is so much on the menu that was vegetarian that I’d love to go back every week until I get to try it all.
Our dinner included: brussels sprouts hummus, beet salad (that was our free appetizer… we didn’t ask for it, they just brought it), borekas (flaky pastries that are filled with feta, honey and spices), and roasted salmon. We also ordered the roasted cabbage. Roasted cabbage is probably not something most people would automatically order but I would describe as “Cinderella – before-midnight”, but for cabbage. (The picture shows a slightly destroyed picture of the cabbage.)

My favorite foodie friend suggested Safta after learning I would be in Denver for a few days. I asked our waiter Phillip for recommendations and followed his suggestions across the board. The Hummus and brussel sprouts was remarkable. Everything was delicious, the food and service on point. Worth the visit when in Denver.
