We had a lovely time at this upscale Mexican restaurant. This place serves elevated yet hearty and authentic Mexican cuisine (approved by my Mexican wife!). Most of the dishes feature Mexican flavors in upscale restaurant style food and presentation, so read the menu before you go to set your expectations.

The cochinita pibil is my favorite main course, and I often have leftovers to take home after. The guacamole and queso fundido are the two shareable appetizers I like best.

They have a variety of tasty margaritas, but be warned – the large sized ones are pretty large. When I’m driving I usually order a small.

Service is fast and attentive, and the atmosphere is slightly on the noisy/lively side on busy nights. This is a great spot for a date or a nice meal out with friends. Expect a meal here to take an hour if you order appetizers and drinks and take your time.

Cost ranges from $40 per person if you just get a main course to $80 if you have appetizers and drinks as well.

Reposado in Palo Alto is my absolute go to for Mexican food. I’ve been here so many times, and it never disappoints. The drinks are always spot-on, the food is full of flavor, and the vibe is just perfect. No matter when I come, I know I’m going to leave happy.

We came here on a weekday to celebrate a birthday. The drinks were designed and nicely presented. We shared all of our dishes family style. The homemade plantain chips and tortilla chips are very thin and crispy. Portion sizes are on the smaller side. Prices are high for the cocktails and the larger plates. The ambience is great with the high ceilings and wood interior. We had 2-3 people wait on us. Our original waiter didn’t write down our order and we had a mix up on one of our plates but they were pleasant about correcting it. Around us there was a work group lunching with 8 people and there was a friend gathering of 4. This seems to be a place to celebrate and or enjoy food with friends. The restroom is located on the 2nd floor where there is also a private room (which was occupied by corporate-looking clientele).

Great food! We stayed in the hotel across the street for a week. We ate at many different places but kept coming back here. My wife kept trying to customize the dishes by asking for things on the side and then said “I should have just eaten it as is!” She liked the flour tortillas better than the corn, but liked the refried black beans better than the whole, which is usual for her. I was impressed that the corn was a non-GMO variety. This place is definitely going on our list of places to come back to next time.

We had a fun double date night here at a reserved table as first time guests. The food was excellent, and the service was ok. Drinks seemed pretty weak to us. For over $100 per person we expected a bit more attention to detail and more frequent check-ins by the wait staff. They forgot our soup, so we had to ask for it after the entrees were served. The desert order took an unexpectedly long time to serve after the order was taken. We think it was probably ready and forgotten by the server. Maybe they are not properly staffed? It took 2.5 hours for dinner. Parking was bonkers and required several loops through the public parking structure to finally get a spot. Street parking was totally packed. I would return again, but if the service is slow and inattentive the next time, I probably won’t keep returning.

Really good food and drinks. Had the Burrata with tomato starter, chile poblano, pollo parrilla mole sauce with tamarind margarita, mango margarita.
Drinks were good – not too sweet and made well.
Food was well made along with red and white rice. Very flavorful.
Got the salted caramel ice cream with upside down banana bread.

Outstanding experience, food was well presented and outstandingly prepared. Initially expected a more traditional Mexican resteraunt experience and was pleasantly surprised by the result.

The best I can say about this place is “It’s not bad” however nothing really stood out for me taste wise or service wise.
The ambiance is good The tall ceiling with ambient light feels nice. I was here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and maybe that made it special and worth 3 stars.
Vegetarian options are available and Chile Poblano was good. Drinks options are plenty however the one I ordered, Lemon Drop cocktail tasted like basic, too sweet lemonade.
Honestly, I would have been okay with the quantity, quality, and the slow service if it was not this expensive.

A nice, upscale restaurant offering Mexican cuisine. The service was friendly and the ambiance of the place is great. Good appetizers and desserts. The vegetarian selection for entrees was a bit limited, but still some good choices.
