I’m sooo disappointed we didn’t find this place sooner! But it’s okay because we’ll definitely be back again soon
We chose a light dinner and everything was marvelous and tasty. I’m very familiar with pulled pork from Louisiana and what we got was pretty good. It came out hot and juicy with some nice sauce that added a little kick yo it. The fries were crispy and salted just right.
I’m looking forward to a pizza on our next visit

Food was pretty good. Ribs were “fall off the bone” and a good amount of meat but just a bit dry. Reuben sandwich was also large and also a bit dry.
Service was good. English spoken decently. They tried be be cordial and friendly. Took a while to be waited on with 3 hosts standing there waiting.
Atmosphere is nostalgic.
Handicapped friendly access and 1st floor bathroom.

The best place for American style cuisine in Hualien. I got a beer flight to try three different draft beers and the wings. Both were solid. This place is also known for their pizzas and BBQ meats, but it was just myself and did not have much of an appetite. Still, I really enjoyed the wings, they were spot on. The vibe is pretty friendly as well and had a pleasant time as I watched some tennis matches on the TV above the bar. Look forward to coming back to check out the other menu items!

Yes! Hands down one of the best in Taiwan for Chicago deep dish pizza! And their Ribs! Thumbs up! Falls right off the bone. BBQ sauce is flavorful not overpowering the meat. Fries! Fries! Skin on potatoes perfection. Service is on point. Highly recommend.
Oh portion is good for 4 people! At least!

The food was honestly amazing. I was shocked.
The wings were huge, very meaty flavorful. I had a root beer float they put ice in it, which was an interesting twist, but still good.
Do not sit at the bar seats are horrible! You are better off waiting for a table!!

Because sometimes you need a break from Taiwanese cuisine. Enjoyed our pizza, brisket-topped salad, and craft beers. Nailed the American themed ambiance down to the live Taiwanese baseball game on the televisions.

Absolutely delicious food! Hubby had the brisket and it was so soft and tender Our kids had the mac n cheese and it’s a winner! I had the gumbo – and it was so flavourful! First time having gumbo and I was not disappointed
Apart from the great food, the atmosphere is amazing! Waiters are great, service was great – really just a great experience overall!
Thanks Salt Lick!

Simply not worth my time. I was hoping to be delighted by an indulgent American meal. With anticipation, I ordered the spicy buffalo pizza 16 liberty units , parmesan fries, and my friend ordered a beer except it never came. The service was pseudo-American style, with servers appearing to wait for customers to call them over, except they missed the crucial yankee tradition of checking to see if “you folks were enjoying entering”. The Parmesan fries came out promptly and I was delighted to see all the cheese and garlic on what appeared to be well-cooked battered fries. They were not salty enough. I find myself saying this all the time in Taiwan which is fine because that’s how the food is here, but wow did they feel utterly empty. Nonetheless, I added my salt and it tasted great. American ketchup too? Heavenly!!! We sit for approximately 16 minutes when our pizza comes out piping hot. The silence in the entire restaurant was deafening as I looked at the adorned walls, and my eyes rested on one particular sign that said brothel in white text. Just as I began to wonder just what kind of establishment this was, the pizza came out fajita-piping hot. Finally, it was show time. As I rubbed my Dipteran appendages and glanced at this cheese and sauce coated flat bread with crust, I noticed once more something off. It was not orange. I mean spicy buffalo pizza should always have that horrid radioactive orange coating, but this was simply right. With the odd addition of banana peppers too, I was skeptical as I took my first bite. It was bland. I couldn’t believe my tongue, surely this wasn’t right. I took another bite. There were very obviously many ingredients on the pizza and it felt quite hardy but there was little to no flavor. I ate my whole pizza slice as I wasn’t raised to waste food, and I came to the crust. It tasted as if a healthy parent had told their kids “we have that at home” and made whole grain pizza dough from a recipe on food network. Utterly unmanageable. I don’t know how to put in words how disappointed I was, but I’m leaving the review at 3 stars because everything was there for this to be good except for the food, and because Google doesn’t allow me to do 2.5.
Perhaps just because a pizza can be done with this type of dough, doesn’t mean it should be.

This was my first time at the restaurant, and it was a great atmosphere, and the service was very good. They had a pretty good selection of beers and plenty of outdoor seating. It’s in a nice area of town that’s very walkable. I went upon the recommendation of a local friend.having tried barbecue all over the United States, and especially Texas, this was good, but definitely not my best. If you are looking for a good place to get ribs, beer, and enjoy a nice evening dinner. Definitely check this place out.

Authentic American restaurant – serving excellent pizza!!
Great atmosphere and delicious food – we got to take our leftovers away, which also saved us on lunch out the next day.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hualien!
