DO NOT VISIT — Reservation Process Is a Joke & Management Is the Worst I’ve Experienced

We made a reservation for 8 people, arrived on time, and were given a table for 6—despite an open table for 8 sitting unused right next to us. When we asked about it, the manager insisted it was “reserved for a larger party,” then squeezed our group into a corner at a broken table.

Here’s the unbelievable part: an hour into our meal, the “larger party” finally arrived… with only 6 people and took the 8-top that we should’ve been given in the first place. Two seats stayed empty the entire time.

I’ve eaten at steakhouses all over the world, and this was easily the worst-managed restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was good, and our server Ciara was outstanding, but management’s handling of reservations and seating was unacceptable and completely illogical.

At best, the manager showed terrible judgment; at worst, the experience made our group feel singled out in a way no paying customer should ever feel. Either way, it’s clear reservations here don’t mean anything, and guest experience is not a priority.

Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else.

The server Ciara was an absolute amazing and a saving grace of the night!

My husband and I went in to celebrate and our server, Rob, was fantastic. We went during happy hour and the food and drinks were great. We enjoyed a booth in the bar area. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing meal here tonight. I got swordfish that was cooked perfectly. We had mussels for an appetizer which were also cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Our drinks were also tasty. I got a dirty martini with delicious olives stuffed with blue cheese. Perfect night and thanks to the bartender who gave us all the best recommendations!

Nice server but didn’t seem genuine.

Garlic mashed potatoes were translucent like Walmart box instant potatoes

Garlic mushrooms were like old canned whole mass produced mushrooms.

Steak knife was not super clean when server delivered it

Will not be back.

$19.99 ‘baseball’ steak special was decent for the price, recommend medium rare as medium was proper pink inside but hard to cut with steak knife

Went in with high expectations being that it is a rib and chop house. Be prepared to be let down. The cost was outrageous and my service was mediocre. Luke never smiled and was standoffish and not engaging. And another server started running a vacuum at another table and there is nothing that says leave faster than watching employees deep clean 2 hours before the end of shift.
I would recommend saving money and going to McDonald’s for a less than average experience.

Food-
Spinach and Artichoke dip-
It had no flavor at all. It was not offensive but I would have been happy with any flavor and it was served a side of very salty chips. It was also barely warm. Save your money and try something with flavor.
Hamburger- looked amazing, smelled ok but was nothing special. I ordered mine medium and it came out rare. I had been on the road for 12 hours and I was in no mood to send it back.
The chicken strips my lady tried were pretty decent and the only reason for a 3 star rating. They were 4 big pieces of white meat with a light breading. The country gravy was good but the mash potatoes were served with skin on potatoes and again had no flavor. The dipping sauce had a very strange flavor profile. The menu is steak and seafood with Cajun and pasta. There was too many ideas and not enough execution. What do i know, I only have 250K views on reviews that I have left. I came in looking like a peasant and got treated like it too. Dr. J

Good: Wonderful food. Lamb Chops, muscles, spinach and artichoke dip, calamari, ribs, and sirloin were very good. Vegetable side dishes were average. Price was reasonable.

Server was very attentive and friendly to our party. She made the visit wonderful.

Nice atmosphere and clean bathrooms.

Bad: We had reservations for a large party. They were not prepared. Other issues came up and their explanation for our seating arrangement was later shown as questionable. The employees greeting us and seating us were not customer friendly. This initial interaction set the mood and it was, unfortunately, a sour experience to start. However, as noted our server was very kind and made it wonderful. We acknowledge her effort when we paid our bill. Spent over $400 for our group. However, if visiting Sheridan in the future, we likely won’t dine here due to the interaction with the employees greeting us and seating us. This resulted in the low star rating.

After a great day in town Wyoming’s Rib and Chop House was recommended for dinner. The four of us were seated right away and Angela, our waitress, was super nice, attentive, and knowledgeable. We had the Gumbo, Western burger, cedar plank salmon (with lemon) and ribs. Everything was cooked to perfection, except the garlic mashed potatoes which our waitress quickly took care of. The gumbo soup was spicy but we like it that way. For dessert we had Apple Cobbler and Pecan Melt Away. Wow! It’s a good thing we were sharing desserts. They were huge and of course delicious! It was a little pricey and we did not realize this was a chain restaurant but we would definitely return.

Traveling through Wyoming, we ended up stopping in Sheridan due to ice covered roads. After a google search, we picked this restaurant for dinner. What a fabulous experience! The food, the service was phenomenal! We had the salmon bites appetizer. Bison chili and gumbo. One of us had steak. One had shrimp fettuccine. One had chicken fried chicken. One had chicken fried steak. Kids had their kids ribs. Desert was cheesecake. We all ate every bite of our meal. Do not miss this restaurant if you have an opportunity.
