Gonzalez is some of our favorite Mexican food. I love their tortillas and queso. The tortillas are Almost the thickness of a pancake in absolutely delicious. My wife and I like to go here on the weekends as I can get breakfast and she can still get lunch or dinner I highly recommend their Carne guisada As well as their breakfast burritos. Typically two of the burritos will fill me up as well as the tortillas I eat prior to the meal The interior is always decorated fun and festive. They have a Christmas tree year round that they decorate with each holiday whether it is Valentine’s Day or Halloween the restaurant is always decor

The service is always great sometimes early on the weekend. You may have a little bit of a wait. They typically have a armed security guard in the parking lot on the weekends as they can get pretty crowded

The parking lot is a little rough in some areas. I do not recommend a lowered car or exotic vehicle unless you can park upfront on the concrete pad.

They serve Mexican cokes and have a full service bar along with their normal tea and soft drink Take note that soft drinks are typically serve served per can come with a cup of ice so you may be charged for refills, just be prepared for that

The chips and salsa are pretty good here. I will warn you, though if you do not like spices, the salsa can be spicy at times. My wife is not a big fan of spicy so we typically add a little bit of sugar to her salsa to lighten the spice and heat profile for her

My go to breakfast burrito is eggs, ham, cheese, potatoes And I typically put a little queso that we have left over from the appetizer

The breakfast burritos are a great size and like I said, I can typically only eat two of them however, I usually get a third to go home to eat the next day if I want

The food is very reasonably priced and comes out rather quick, so it is always a great option for lunch or if you were in a rush Just be aware sometimes during the busier times there may be a few minute wait If you go on the weekends, there may be a few people waiting as soon as the doors open, but it is nothing too bad and you were usually sat right away.

I ordered tacos Al carbon but this meat was not grilled over charcoal. It was flat top seared at best, this completely changes this dish. I’m not sure why they served me the incorrectly made meat. I was dissatisfied and disappointed. I really wanted this to be a positive experience but I think this is the type of place where there’s specific dishes you go for and avoid others. The tortillas seemed a bit thick and kinda under cooked also. Everything else was good, the one thing I would say is don’t get the steak or the al carbon because they don’t have an open fire setup as they claim with these dishes.

Imma be a brutal because I know they can do better. The taco meat had no flavor, the tortilla was super thick but good, my tostada was broken and shell was too thin. Same with the taco, shell was thin and broke afyer one bite, ended up eating a taco salad, ate it with a fork and the rice needs some help! Other than that, the tea was good and the waitress was very friendly.

Good food, good environment for medium to large gatherings. The food was served pretty hot and it was delicious . I had menudo and all the sides for it with good corn tortillas. Our waiter was attentive and served our food on time. Not too much wait. I came in during noon time on a saturday and parking was pretty heavy. Will have to come back and try new things.

Went with my friends. Nice restaurant, they decor is super pretty. The workers are really nice and friendly. Maybe a little pricey but the food is delicious. Good portions I was stuffed everything we ate was fresh and yummy. Bathrooms are really nice and clean. Plenty of seating available. They play good music. We went during the day so I know at night it must be bumping.

Customer service is good indeed and I don’t mind paying for overpriced food when it’s 100% fresh and tasty. 4 guests 3 ordered nopales 1 with meat and 2 No meat with rice and beans $17.98 per plate? Wow!!! I ordered Chicken Flautas plate 3 very small & thin Wow but all 4 plates were overloaded with beans and rice; yesterday’s rice was like it was reheated over and over so it looked extremely overcooked, none of us ate that rice… We only had 2 drinks and 2 water still we paid over $80 plus the tip… Very disappointed with their food and prices

I’ve been a customer for over 20 yrs. The food is always great. However, all this time and I can’t still seem to understand why can’t they offer sweet tea. As I get older, I tend to enjoy my beverages a lot more. We have “sweet n low”, It’s not the same thing! To the owner, please make this a priority because it’s becoming a deal breaker for me.

Delicious authentic Mexican food. I had the half order combo fajita plate, it was more than enough. Tender beef and chicken, well seasoned with beans and rice. My wife had the combo plate. The tamales were perfect. Great service and terrific atmosphere. This was no national brand or tourist spot; all the locals eat here. They know it’s the real deal! My new favorite Mexican restaurant in the DFW area.
We’ll definitely be back.

My review was deleted by the owner. But here we go again. This place is RIDICULOUS! They charge you $18 for a $9 plate if you order it take out..even though your picking it up yourself…NOT DELIVERY!! Don’t order from this place if you want to charged double the price just for taking your food home. The tortillas are more like pancakes. The girl in front doesn’t even know how to ring up your order and be prepared to be charge extra if you use your card. This is a shame because it seems like a nice place but look don’t mean anything. DON’T ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.

We went there for a family event. Our party went from 12 to 20. The staff handled it with friendly professionalism. The food and atmosphere was great. We were treated like we were family. Shout out to our bartender Alex and our server Gabby. Looking forward to our next visit.
