Highly recommend this restaurant and location. It is easy to give them 5-stars.
Most importantly, the place is very clean. Special thanks to the server, Karim, for the excellent service, very friendly and welcoming!
It’s a very beautiful restaurant, and it truly feels awesome to have a place decorated with photos of our heritage and historical sites that really makes you feel the spirit of home.
We ordered the Jerusalem Dinner Feast, which begins with hummus, falafel, and stuffed grape leaves served with pita bread and two additional sides of your choice. For the second course, you get lamb, chicken, and kifta kabobs topped with gyro meat slices and a side of tzatziki sauce. You finish with either baklava or halva for dessert. We were able to split the sides half fries and half rice, and we both chose the soup and baklava. Believe me when I say this is more than enough food for three people.
Both the Jerusalem tea and the Turkish coffee were excellent and very enjoyable.
After truly feasting for over an hour, we still took home a huge amount of leftovers, including meat, rice, hummus, and plenty of pita.
The hummus and falafel tasted incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious.
Had a fantastic meal at Jerusalem Cafe in Westport. The baba ghannouj was spectacular with great smoky flavor, and the gyro sandwich was perfectly seasoned with fresh pita. The rice was a highlight – really well-seasoned. Got extra tzatziki which was fresh and generous.
The mint lemonade is absolutely the best I’ve had in KC – so refreshing and pairs perfectly with the food.
Service was prompt and friendly, with staff who clearly know their menu and care about the experience. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming.
This place consistently delivers authentic Middle Eastern flavors with fresh ingredients. Great vegetarian options too. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality Mediterranean food in Kansas City!
P.S. to management: Only one request – please consider toning down the bright white lights at each of the tables. They’re too bright and can be a bit distracting from an otherwise perfect dining experience.
Came here for the first time and was glad I did. Our server was attentive and friendly. Our food came out at a reasonable time and was tasty. Would recommend the hummus combo platter or the Philly gyro as both were delicious (wish there was more veggies though lol). Next time will try the beef shawarma!
Oh yeah and try the Jerusalem style on your sandwich. Yum.
Definitely going back here on my next trip to KC.
