Antico has earned a reputation with its thin crust pies. While I wish this Italian style pizza shop would set up a location in my neighborhood, I’m always happy to brave the humanity at the Battery for these beautiful pies coming out of those gorgeous ovens.
And speaking of those woodfired ovens, every pizza is crafted to perfection, delivering a crisp flavor filled experience. In the words of Billy Joel, Vienna waits for you. Or, in this case Naples.
The Verdura is our favorite.
The process is simple place your order, grab your drinks and utensils, sit down wait for them to call you for your pie and enjoy. The tables are big and spacious in family style. Don’t be afraid to sit next to somebody you don’t know. Strike up a conversation and talk about pizza. Good pizza. Antico pizza.

We grabbed pizza from Antico Pizza at The Battery and it was really good! We ordered a Margherita pizza and a second white pizza (I can’t remember the name, but it was cheesy and flavorful) — both were cooked perfectly in their wood-fired brick oven. We took the pizzas back to our hotel room to relax and enjoy, and they included plenty of condiments like garlic, Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and olive oil, which was super convenient. The pizzas were fresh, hot, and tasty — definitely a great casual meal, and we would go back again!

Big fan of Antico Pizza. We ordered the Margherita and Diavola, and both came out sizzling hot with perfectly crisp bottoms. The flavors were spot-on, and every bite hit the mark. We’ll definitely be back again and again.

Ordered pizza delivery to nearby hotel through their Toast connection. The 16” four cheese pizza came in an hour and tasted great, wish it could’ve been warmer upon arrival, but that’s cold weather for you!

Great wood fired pizzas made with top quality ingredients. Wasn’t too busy during a baseball game. Large selection of beers and mixed drinks. Bartenders were great! Excellent service and fair prices on the pizzas.
