I just randomly ate here before joining the Halloween Horror Nights event. This place has very bad reviews on Google, but imo, it was quite decent for an amusement park restaurant. I got the Aftershock Burger, which consists of fresh Angus beef patty, jalapeño bacon jam, fried onion stars, pepperjack cheese, American cheese, lettuce and BBQ sauce. The combo is 21.99 USD, and includes fries and a drink (no refills — each cup has a little RFID chip on the bottom to let the machine know if you’re eligible for a refill). I quite liked the jalapeño bacon jam as it gave the burger a nice sweetness, and it reminded me a bit of the Jollibee spaghetti. Fries were nice too, as they were crisp on the outside and felt like mashed potatoes on the inside — this is quite different than other fries that I’ve tried before. Overall, I really think this place is quite alright despite the bad ratings!

Can’t argue with the food here — a lovely, good-quality burger and fries, better than most theme park food, and the service was rapid. Headed here just before The Blues Brothers show and I must say it was one of the better places I ate, theme-park-wise.

Food wasn’t bad, good for universal.
I had the spicy chicken sandwhich was pretty good, the breading was falling off which is fine. Fries were ok. 7/10 overall.

Very busy, but ordered and got food within 20 minutes

Richter’s Burger Co. is a solid choice for a quick bite inside Universal Studios Florida. The service was fast, and the food came out hot and fresh. The fries are well-seasoned and surprisingly good for a theme park spot. They also use the refillable Coke Freestyle machines, so it’s a convenient stop if you already have a refillable cup. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating makes it easy to find a place to sit and enjoy your meal.

THREE STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️ | DECENT, BUT NOT A STANDOUT ‍♂️

We stopped by Richter’s Burger Company during our day at Universal Studios and honestly… it was okay. Just okay. Nothing terrible, nothing amazing—right down the middle.

I ordered a Caesar salad and it was decent. Fresh enough, had a little crunch, dressing was fine, and it filled me up without making me feel heavy. Nothing to rave about, but I’d probably order it again if I was in a pinch. There were quite a few brown spots on the lettuce which I did not eat…

The rest of the fam went with burgers and fries —my wife and kids all said the same thing: “It’s alright.” No complaints, no excitement. Just solid, middle-of-the-road theme park food. Could’ve been hotter, could’ve been juicier, but again… nothing tragic.

Now let’s talk about the seating area . Tables were dirty. Not just “a few crumbs” dirty—like, “had to wipe the whole thing down myself” dirty. I ended up cleaning off our table with napkins just so we could sit down and eat like human beings. Not ideal when you’re already tired, hot, and juggling trays of food with kids in tow .

Overall vibe? Pretty basic. No theming that stood out, no service to speak of, and nothing memorable about the experience. Just a place to grab a quick bite and move on.

Would I come back?
Maybe—if we were hungry and nearby. But I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Bottom line:
✔️ Food: Serviceable
✔️ Cleanliness: Could be WAY better
✔️ Experience: Meh
✔️ Would I recommend? Only if you’re in a hurry and not picky.

Food was decent, everything came out quickly. Just an average patty, but the fries were really good.

Richter’s Burger Company – Universal Orlando

Honestly, this place was a huge disappointment. For being located inside Universal, I expected something at least halfway decent, but this was one of the worst burger spots I’ve been to in a while. The customer service was terrible — the associates seemed far more interested in chatting with each other than actually helping guests. No sense of urgency, no professionalism, and definitely no teamwork. It really felt like management was nowhere to be found because there was absolutely no supervision or leadership visible anywhere.

As for the food… I don’t even know how to explain it. The beef patty didn’t taste like real meat at all — it had that strange, processed flavor and an odd texture that made it hard to even finish. The fries were lukewarm and bland, and everything just felt like it had been sitting out way too long. For the price you pay inside a theme park, you’d expect at least something fresh or flavorful, but this was the total opposite.

The atmosphere didn’t help either. The whole place feels outdated and dull, like it hasn’t had a proper update or deep clean in years. The tables were sticky, and the overall vibe just screamed “we don’t care.” Honestly, this restaurant is in desperate need of a remodel — or better yet, a full overhaul with new management and staff who actually care about providing decent service and quality food.

If you’re at Universal and craving a burger, I’d recommend skipping this place altogether. There are far better food options in the park that are worth your time and money. Richter’s Burger Company is just not it.

We have enjoyed this spot for a quick drink of water and a moment of air conditioning and sometimes we partake in the meals and snacks offered. They have an excellent menu for a quick bite including burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and milkshakes. Mel’s Drive-In across the pond is comparable, but you must choose the atmosphere that you desire the moment hunger strikes you
