Reviews
I had the spicy chicken sandwhich was pretty good, the breading was falling off which is fine. Fries were ok. 7/10 overall.
Very busy, but ordered and got food within 20 minutes
We stopped by Richter’s Burger Company during our day at Universal Studios and honestly… it was okay. Just okay. Nothing terrible, nothing amazing—right down the middle.
I ordered a Caesar salad and it was decent. Fresh enough, had a little crunch, dressing was fine, and it filled me up without making me feel heavy. Nothing to rave about, but I’d probably order it again if I was in a pinch. There were quite a few brown spots on the lettuce which I did not eat…
The rest of the fam went with burgers and fries —my wife and kids all said the same thing: “It’s alright.” No complaints, no excitement. Just solid, middle-of-the-road theme park food. Could’ve been hotter, could’ve been juicier, but again… nothing tragic.
Now let’s talk about the seating area . Tables were dirty. Not just “a few crumbs” dirty—like, “had to wipe the whole thing down myself” dirty. I ended up cleaning off our table with napkins just so we could sit down and eat like human beings. Not ideal when you’re already tired, hot, and juggling trays of food with kids in tow .
Overall vibe? Pretty basic. No theming that stood out, no service to speak of, and nothing memorable about the experience. Just a place to grab a quick bite and move on.
Would I come back?
Maybe—if we were hungry and nearby. But I wouldn’t go out of my way.
Bottom line:
✔️ Food: Serviceable
✔️ Cleanliness: Could be WAY better
✔️ Experience: Meh
✔️ Would I recommend? Only if you’re in a hurry and not picky.
Honestly, this place was a huge disappointment. For being located inside Universal, I expected something at least halfway decent, but this was one of the worst burger spots I’ve been to in a while. The customer service was terrible — the associates seemed far more interested in chatting with each other than actually helping guests. No sense of urgency, no professionalism, and definitely no teamwork. It really felt like management was nowhere to be found because there was absolutely no supervision or leadership visible anywhere.
As for the food… I don’t even know how to explain it. The beef patty didn’t taste like real meat at all — it had that strange, processed flavor and an odd texture that made it hard to even finish. The fries were lukewarm and bland, and everything just felt like it had been sitting out way too long. For the price you pay inside a theme park, you’d expect at least something fresh or flavorful, but this was the total opposite.
The atmosphere didn’t help either. The whole place feels outdated and dull, like it hasn’t had a proper update or deep clean in years. The tables were sticky, and the overall vibe just screamed “we don’t care.” Honestly, this restaurant is in desperate need of a remodel — or better yet, a full overhaul with new management and staff who actually care about providing decent service and quality food.
If you’re at Universal and craving a burger, I’d recommend skipping this place altogether. There are far better food options in the park that are worth your time and money. Richter’s Burger Company is just not it.
The burger was 5 out of 10. We enjoyed seat outside in front of lake.. The burger was not good enough for me with that price IBut it’s OK at Universal studio
