I asked for the rib eye and is far from spectacular, it seems that is done in a pan instead of a grill. It came with salad that is ok with gravy, the gravy is goood!! .The steak is a big portion and it was undercooked, I give them that.
The prices are stuck in time just like this place. The portion sizes are huge. My wife and I share entrees everywhere we go. If you want to do Peter Luger on a budget, this is the place. “Steak For Two” is just their 16oz Super Stockyard. We get it with the shrimp add on; smothered and covered in sautéed onions and mushrooms. Chili beans and a loaded baked potato. Comes with bread too, plenary of food for two. A tip is to get the mushrooms on the side; they will come in a bowl filled with butter.
The steaks:
•New York Strip
•Ribeye
•Tri-Tip
•Specialty steaks in their own preparation
•Then they have their Stockyards, these are their flagship steaks. 3 different sizes (7,12,16oz) and they are Choice grade Sirloins. Not a designer steak, but a sirloin really lends itself to this type of steakhouse. Long wide grain structure gives you the best crust imaginable, better than what you are going to get from the tight muscle fibers of the NewYork strip. Give it a try.
The desserts are killer, potato skins, or just get the appetizer platter. Cheap drinks, great service, knowledgeable management and they aren’t rushing out to try to turn tables
