Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

first time at Whataburger…and yea, I’ve been missing out. hands down better than In N Out…this location had great customer service through the drive thru. friendly staff, and reasonably priced, delicious food.

Place is very out of date. Food was mediocre at most.. asked for a plain double burger with bacon…. no bacon and they had put mustard on it and wiped it off… disgusting. So had them fix it came out kinda fast, but burgers tasted very off, almost a chemical taste to it.

I tried Whataburger a few times from a few different locations on my trip to Texas, so I’ll let this one represent them all. Their burgers are alright, nothing extraordinary. But the Patty Melt I did particularly enjoy. The honey butter chicken biscuit was pretty good too. But I feel like this place is bolstered up by local pride more than anything else, this isn’t elite fast food.

Saw a teen male worker go touch the bathroom door and go half in multiple times with his gloved hands then go back to the kitchen . Also don’t order curbside here, they’re too lazy to bring it to you.

Update: 03/06/2022 You might ask why I keep going to this Whataburger…. well simple answer is that it is the most convenient location for me. Anyways. So I get my usual, biscuits and Gravy. I get to my office on Sunday morning only to see that the Gravy is half full. No, I did not take any out. The Gravy is like that because of the way I was carrying the bag. I just don’t get it. How hard is it to do your job right? But, at least the biscuit was decent.
What’s right is right and wrong is wrong. And this my friends is just wrong.

Update: OK. Bought 2 more biscuits and Gravy and they were actually OK. Yes biscuits were a little hard around the edges but everything else was fine.

we have not had a issue before but today we order thru the drive thru and got put into the second lane where there was one person in front of us and two people in the first lane. someone walked up and took our payment and after 10 minutes of waiting and seeing the person in front of us leave and the other lane get there food the person at the window who kept looking over at us had sent the person who took our payment to talk with us. the first words out of his mouth were asking what we wanted. we told them we wanted a refund since we still had not gotten our order. we were told they woud get there manager and the manager finally came out and asked what we wanted. We’d told him the situation and he said that they would look to see where our food was. let them know we just wanted a refund so we could leave. after a few more minutes the original employee walked back out said sorry gave us our money and walked away

I’m not sure what issue the food pepper had with someone earlier this morning or possibly before, but I don’t feel that it should’ve been taken out on me. I got off of work this morning from night shift and wanted to grab a quick breakfast before heading home. I’ve never had any issues with Whataburger in the past, but this particular location took whatever hate they had, and gifted me with the abomination you see in the pictures below. The one unwrapped was rolled so small that a roll of quarters would be considered bigger. Ingredients separated. Cheese not melted. And the edges of the tortilla could be broken off and used as projectiles. This is the first time as a Texan I’ve ever had anything bad from Whataburger across the whole state, but this place finally accomplished that. I hope whatever is going on there gets corrected, whether it be mgmt, or the workers. I work less than a mile away and do not plan on going back anytime soon.
