Following our visit to the VA, my buddy and I made our second visit to our comfort food breakfast place nearby. This Village Inn off Garden of the Gods and I-25 ALWAYS has the best staff and service. Today our server was Taylor and she is absolutely the most pleasant and helpful person!! We see the same staff here all the time…they are always happy..literally everyone is smiling all the time.
Today I also discovered something I never knew existed at a Village Inn…and it was very good. The Rio Grande Skillet with smoked pulled pork! Honestly…it was excellent and I will order again…and again!
We also forgot that Wednesday was Free Pie Wednesday…so my buddy took home his favorite…pumpkin pie with added whipped cream and I did the coconut cream. This was a great day for us!

Village Inn is a really good “chain” cafe. I have been with my family twice and both times were consistent. As what I would call a, “Chain Breakfast Cafe”, Village Inn sits above all other chains, earning them the 5-Stars. With that, I have some critiques.

FOOD:
The pancakes are good, the hash browns with cheese are also good. The Bacon, was really good and was nice and crispy, not chewy. The country fried steak was good and the gravy was yummy. The sausage was also good. I am not a pie guy, but everyone else enjoyed their pies.

The eggs…… can we please ban the liquid eggs lol? We went here twice and my photos are from the first visit when I was unaware of the liquid eggs. To me, they taste like a combination of plastic on the outside, cardboard in the middle. Look how unappetizing they are in the photos. On our second visit, I requested the fresh eggs and they were MUCH better. Get the fresh eggs!! Plate presentation could use some improvement.

SERVICE:
The Service was very good. Our servers were attentive, engaging and helpful. We were joking back and forth, it was fun.

ATMOSPHERE:
The Atmosphere is fine inside. The dining area was clean and well presented. The pies on display appeared fresh and delicious. The parking can be a little congested.

Overall, my family enjoys this Village Inn location. The prices are fair and the options are plenty. We will definitely return in the future and I would recommend them to others.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the service was quick even during a busy time. The food came out hot, fresh, and delicious—classic comfort food done right. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, and the team really made us feel taken care of. Definitely one of the better spots in Colorado Springs for a reliable, hearty meal. I’ll be coming back often!

I know that they saw this nasty avocado I paid extra for and still out this black avocado on my meal. I’m disgusted and irritated because I ordered pick up and shouldn’t have to drive all the way up there to get my order corrected. They saw and chose to put it on a meal you serve people. Unacceptable.

We tried this place for the first time ever during the free pie Wednesday. The pie was pretty good and it was free, so even better! The service was also excellent. The lady who helped us was full of energy and extremely kind and friendly. The food was just ok, nothing that would make me want to come back, but it was still good. I actually really liked their fries, everything else was just ok.

Super awesome place to eat. The vibes are immaculate and cozy and their holiday decor is super pretty. If you get there before 9 on a Sunday, you’ll likely miss the breakfast rush if you prefer a quieter meal. If you like a more robust experience, any time after is perfect. The servers are so kind and so sweet and the food is fantastic as always. If youre looking for a great, sweet coffee pick me up, the vanilla iced coffee is the bomb. I love thay you can customize your own breakfast too. Stellar place!
