Babe’s old fashioned burgers have been around forever it seems and always are consistent with the quality of their food. This particular location in Balcones Heights has changed interior decorations over the years but the food has not changed a bit. If you’re in the mood for some tasty hamburgers, chicken burgers, fries, onion rings etc etc this is definitely a great choice. There are others located around San Antonio so pick the one that’s closest to you. You won’t be disappointed!!

Babe’s was much better than expected. I would highly recommend this location if you have kids because they give discounts on family meals, but even if we didn’t have our kids with us this would be a great choice. We just got burgers and chicken strips but everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly.

Highly recommended. 2nd time here. Place doesn’t disappoint. Some of our order was missing, but the staff gladly and readily fixed it. Food is absolutely delicious. Hot and fresh. They do have limited combos. Reasonable prices. Cute atmosphere. We had chicken tenders, French fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, cheeseburgers, and hamburgers. Do bring your appetite for those chicken tenders.

I am super picky when it comes to burgers. I was on the hunt for a new burger place when I came across this place. The lady who took out our order was so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, I couldn’t put my burger down, and the music was perfect, not too loud, not too low. The decorations and environment have a western and cozy accent. So peaceful ✌️

Babe’s Old Fashioned food= awesome Hamburgers, Battered and made to order Chicken Tenders, Hand battered onion rings fresh cut fries! Covered Outdoor seating Beer, Sodas. Casual dining. The also have delicious fresh salads and desserts! I usually I have the double meat cheeseburger which starts at 9.99 what’s the latest pickle onion tomatoes. The 1/2&1/2 Onion rings and French Fry basket for $5.99 is a great deal and delicious! You owe yourself a visit and once you’ve tasted their food I’m sure you’ll want to go back !!

I’ve been eating here for over 2 decades. The food has always been consistent. My go to items are the onion rings and the mushroom Swiss burger.
Prices are fair, food always is made to order and comes out hot and full of flavor. Beer and drink selection here is pretty good as well.
The atmosphere is nice, and I’ve never had any problems with the food or service over the many years I’ve been dining here.

I love the food here. Vibe hasn’t changed much since I was a kid. Food is still on point but what’s funny is I love the shakes there and when I ordered one it smelled burnt, like the machine wasn’t mixing correctly and when we informed the manager he gave a refund as I barely drank it but it didn’t feel good when the manager basically didn’t believe me. He said “we havnt gotten any complaints about it”. Like, okay so you don’t want to know when something is wrong? How will you know if we don’t say anything? It just didn’t sit right with me and I think the manager should’ve handled it better. All that being said, the rest of our food was great. We ordered the mushroom burger and the tenders.

They drowned the burgers in Mayo so be aware of that. They didn’t give pickles and onions to everyone that ordered burgers just one person even though we all asked for everything on the burgers. Young lady at register overcharged for drinks despite them being included with the combo special. Then she was hesitant to refund the money. The burger patties were delicious and the fries delicious. Onion rings came out pale practically white and zero flavor. Those were returned. Honestly it’s better than McDonald’s but it could have been great if they just gave some effort and attention to the orders. WOW service was lacking. Serve yourself yet they want you to put a tip?
